There was a solid inventory with in the store and it was curated quite well. We had a great experience aside from the prices. The staff was also quiet and reserved (only made a comment or two) until we were about to leave and then they engaged us. It is a nice store but there is just something off.

Paul was most help full in setting us up with new lighting. Have now purchased amazing bedding from Urban Settler and we are planning on ordering our blinds this week. This is not just a store but an excellent design shop with an excellent interior designer.

We had the pleasure to work with Urban Settler for the past 5 years on a project at our Hotel the furniture and accessories are exceptional, very well built and made for commercial use. We were advised by amazing staff throughout the process with a team to advise on style and price, they came to our location to view and give the best advise to create a fabulous look we wanted for our hotel guest. We furnished 20 units (some Tiny Homes) and have added another to the inventory a whole house and once again they delivered a fantastic package for the home. Delivery to the location and they also built the furniture that needed to be built. Paul and his team at Urban Settler went above and beyond ! I was quite overwhelmed in the process to furnish a new house and working on a budget. Paul was no pressure and put in countless hours in researching and also educating me about various options and products which would work well in our space. And such a lifesaver with the blinds! Could not be happier about the blinds that Paul suggested and we chose… we have oddly shaped windows and some up very high! What may have been a complete nightmare was painless!! If I could give more than five stars I would and I don’t think I have every said that in a review before! Thank you Urban Settler, we are so thrilled with how everything worked out!

Incredibly disappointed with my recent visit to this store. I’ll agree with some of the previous reviews that the staff don’t give their customers the time of day. My mom and I were looking for some furniture for her new house. We walked into the store and out of the 2 staff, neither of them even bothered to say hi. We began snooping around on our own and while testing some of the couches, one staff member said in a very rude tone “ Your clothes better be dry if you’re sitting on our white couches”. We were caught off guard and left immediately, feeling very uncomfortable. I do not recommend this business at all, if you need furniture just head to the Elk Valley store where the customer service is 10x better.

Have worked with the Urban Settler on 2 different condo's for the past 7 years. Always impressed with the service and advice offered here. We have sourced blinds, furniture, beds, kitchen table, bar stools and tons of candles and knick-knacks for our interior decor. The bedding at The Urban Settler is awesome. Incredible delivery service as well in some pretty tough winter conditions!! Thanks for everything!

Not one staff member greeted us, one was dressed in ski suit but told us to ensure we did not wear our footwear inside, looked down on us as we looked at a beautiful dining table we more than can afford & treated us as though we should not be there. Most pretentious store I have ever been in and will not return. Will pay triple elsewhere just to avoid the way they made us feel. They deserve no business of mine!!! We own 3 properties & not one will ever have an item from this store in it. Deplorable behaviour for a business in a town where you need people to purchase your items-not just the visitors! Know your clientele & don’t prejudge. Disgusted beyond belief. Will go down the street thank you!!! If I could post with no stars I would.

Love this store!! We stop in every year and always manage to find a piece of Fernie to bring home with us 🙂 Paul & staff take care of us well - whether it’s quickly wrapping furniture to transport home safely or deliver a forgotten item to our hotel. Looking forward to our next visit to find more quality items.
