Our two kids attend Studio 9, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Before joining, my son struggled to fit in at his previous school, but Studio 9 has truly made a difference. He feels accepted and part of the community. The students here, both older and younger, get along wonderfully. They are all truly great kids!

The teachers are simply amazing, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. They go above and beyond to make the students' experiences a positive one. One of the highlights for us is the annual theatre production. It's an incredible learning experience for the students and a joy to watch. We highly recommend Studio 9 to any parent looking for a nurturing and inclusive school for their children.

This is the best place!! My child is in their first year and they have been welcomed with open and caring arms. With smaller class sizes and more diverse learning my child is able to get the attention and education she deserves. All of the children in the class get along so well! It's been comforting to have a school with a tried and tested approach to child development.

update -

we have since pulled out of Studio 9, there’s just not enough space around and there are no sports learned during physical education. It’s just very basic jazz, hip-hop and ballet as musical instruments. I thought they would school. They still have to take time out of class just to be inquired if they want to do something like that .

What makes for a great school for kids … it’s a place where a child feels accepted for his or her own person. A school where learning can be understood easier and interesting for any child. A school where the kids look forward to spending many hours every school day.
Studio 9 for the Arts is where my grandchildren learn..
The teachers und their creative approach to learning keeps the students focused and engaged. They take parts in many plays and most of all they are happy. School is their job so I’m glad they have a positive work environment where they can grow and excel.
Thank you for teaching my grandchildren !!
( sorry my English I’m originally from Switzerland )

I love this school! My daughter has completely come out of her shell and found her stride with Studio 9. They embrace everyone, loving and accepting each student. She used to dread school when she went to her previous elementary school but now she is excited every morning. There is so many extra activities at Studio 9 that embrace creativity encouraging all types of arts. Thank you Studio 9, moving my daughter to your school was the best decision I could have ever made for her.

My three neurodivergent children attended the school for three years and, while wonderful at first, eventually they were ill-equipped to handle my children’s needs, excluding my son from big school events. They also did not address various bullying that occurred. While the school is fantastic for some kids, it is not a good fit for many and I felt it important to share, as every school has good and bad points that should not be ignored.

I am so grateful we found a place where our daughter's creativity is nurtured. The smaller classroom size ensures that she gets the attention and support she needs to succeed, and the imaginative and flexible learning style keeps her engaged and invested. She tells us all the time that the only thing she doesn't like about school is that her day is over too fast!

Studio 9 's inclusivity, zero tolerance for bullying, and celebration of each student's uniqueness has made school her "safe place" (her words not mine). I am thankful everyday for the wonderful staff at Studio9!

Heading into our 10th year at this school and wanted to update this review to say that we continue to be blown away by our positive experiences at this school! Strong academics + creativity in the arts, I wish this school had existed when I was a kid.

Every child is different but if you are looking for a learning environment with small class sizes, a sense of community, where the teachers and staff seem to really care about the students and where the students seem to really care about each other then this is the best! They offer the full BC curriculum program with the additional arts programming weaved through the core of that curriculum. Students are able to learn math, science, English, social studies etc. through drama, art, dance, music, field trips and project experiences, as a complement to more traditional methods. The small and dedicated group of teachers and staff are huge asset to the school and the students seem to adore them. Our high-school aged child is thriving - in both an academic and emotional sense - and totally loves the school and the staff. Throughout elementary and middle school I've encountered students who are friendly, compassionate, kind, polite and confident. Highly recommended.
