Great place on Saturdays (9AM-1PM, April-December) at the Stony Plain Farmers' Market to get a wide variety of: fresh produce, homemade foods of all sorts like The Sausage Lady (huge selection! Garlic, jarred horseradish, canned goods, and frozen sausage), Gourmet meat products (Renaissance Meats), all manner of gourmet soups with options for many restricted diets from the Jalapeño Mama) - don't forget the basement! - and many, many
hand-made items, including woodworking (intarsia, chess sets, jewelry boxes, and more from Muskosis Creeations), leather work, farm fresh eggs, microgreens, spring rolls (from Kiko's Kitchen), yard decor, all kinds of baked goods - sweet and savoury, Ukrainian food, screen-printed t-shirts, artwork, local honey, youth entrepreneurs, community-sponsored non-profits, 3D-printed items, skin products, and much more - too many to list them all!
People are small-town friendly and very community-minded - support local.
Kids are definitely welcomed with free balloons. More for them, too...!

The farmers market was pretty great, the bee charmer on the main level was amazing. In the basement was Jalapeño Mama and her corn chowder soup and shredded taco soup was delicious. Plus I bought a few of the swamp water and swing dingles!

Over the past 26 years my family, friends and I have used or visited this facility for one reason or another.
My youngest child went to pre-school here, my oldest child was in Sea Cadets and the local Farmers Market is held here, my latest visit was a Christmas dance show which my grandchild was a part of. This facility has been a meeting spot for many Community get togethers.
The building itself has a kitchen, stage, up and downstairs where it can hold many people. and plenty of washroom facilities.
Stony Plain has over 40 painted murals which tell about it's past. On the Community Centre there is a large mural which tells the story of Sheriff Israel Umbach chaining the trail to the tracks until he received taxes from the railroad.
Although this building could use an exterior makeover; it is still in great shape on the inside.
If you happen to find yourself in Stony Plain during Farmers Market season...be sure to stop by and check it out.

What a cute little market. Loved the choices of baking and goods. Very friendly vendors. I also like the free recycle bags available to put your purchases in. .I will return

I go there for the Flea Market and get my vegetables and my Pickled Garlic. Lots of Garlic, no Flu shot (which usually doesn't work) Saturday's the day to go 9 am till 2.
