Such a fabulous gem on a quiet island. The food is lovingly raised, grown, cooked and served in a warm, friendly, quiet outdoor venue on a beautiful farm. Our lunch had an absolutely delicious flavour from a unique blend of spices clearly perfected over time. Incredible mountain views and the ambiance of classic music playing quietly in the background make this a must see spot worthy of going out of the way to an otherwise obscure little island. Highly recommend.

I am cycling from Alaska to Argentina and came to Denman Island in February. I had poutine and omg it was excellent and the portion was huge. It really filled my stomach. The owner was such a friendly guy. One of the very few places you can eat out on this island but the quality is there.

This is Denman Island's best restaurant... YIKES!! Poor islanders--you need to fill the gaps here as there aren't ANY restaurants on this island. The coffee shop closes at four and although the Shack N Wagon is open until 7pm we were forewarned they may run out of food before closing. Good inside information as we arrived almost three hours before closing and were the last orders of the day. Best to phone in your order to guarantee your meal 😛

The food is good and the prices are very good--check out the menu online. The view is outstanding. The seating is homey. The cook is personable and friendly. The woman who took our order was a bit confused about pricing and didn't take our orders accurately... Not a big deal as this is a very laid back and chill place to grab a nice meal.

This was hand's down thee absolute BEST burger I have EVER had! The Wrangler was absolutely massive, loaded with toppings, and bursting with flavour. Poseidon's Buns was also an extremely generous burger as well. The only downfall is that I live many provinces over and no other burgers will ever compare to the food experience I had here. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend this place, and long to come back here solely for the purposes of tasting this food again.

We ate the wrangler burger , which is huge, messy, and amazing. Also had the fish tacos - incredible but a little kick to them. The black bean vegan burger is incredible. And fish and chips were great. The people were great, great vibes, great music, great views. I basically wanted them to also serve breakfast because I didn't want to eat anywhere else.

The BEST food I’ve ever had. You gotta eat here!! My favourites are the Wrangler, or fish tacos. I usually substitute for chicken, as I don’t like beef, but the new chuck patty’s are to die for. 🤤🤤

I know there's not a lot of choices to eat on Denman Island and that this place looks pretty simple and they warn you that they will take their time to make their food because it's gourmet, you better believe it, and be patient for it. Their burgers are AMAZING and totally worth the wait. Do take it to go or go eat it in your car or at your Airbnb, as the delicious food does attract a lot of bees if you decide to eat at their patio tables.
