Does a great job on all manner of sewing repairs and alterations (like hemming pants, I'm short, so lots of those! replacing tent zippers, merino wool and neoprene tops...) and has saved me hundreds of dollars over the years! Fun sense of humour too!

I've been going to Richelle for years and she is such a star! She is the nicest lady & so easy to work with. She has altered several types of items of mine, from my daughter's grad dress through to bedding duvets. She is incredibly talented, very professional & an extremely hard worker. Her prices are very reasonable for the amount of time and energy that she puts into things. I would highly recommend Richelle for any alterations. We are VERY lucky to have her in our community 🙂

Richelle is absolutely amazing at her craft. I brought my wedding dress to her to be altered and she went above and beyond my expectations. She was very patient with making sure I was happy with the fit of the dress and made numerous tweaks to do so. I had a few fittings with her and on each occasion she was very kind and professional. I won’t hesitate to bring anything to her when looking for a seamstress in town. She is very busy but made the time for me and didn’t make me feel rushed when I was there despite her hefty workload. If you’re looking for a very talented seamstress, she’s your gal!

I dropped my wedding dress off in June under the impression it would be done quickly and an immaculate job. I was told because of grad I wouldn't get it back until July. That's fine. August 1st comes and I hadn't received any calls so I reached out and was told it wasn't done but I could come the following Thursday to pick it up. I showed up on the Thursday to pick it up and it wasn't finished and was told to come back the following week. I called yesterday morning to confirm it was totally finished and good to go and was told it was finished last Friday. I come back today to pick it up and try it on and it's not finished, and it looked like the seam was bunched up around my backside. My friend and I pointed out a few issues that I wasn't happy with and was told to come back in an hour and she'd fix them. An hour later, I showed up and the bunch was fixed but it wasn't as flattering as when I brought the dress in originally. It took 2 months with me having to push for it to be finished now a month before my wedding and I will have to find another seamstress to get the results initially wanted. I was originally told 200-300 and when picked up was told it should have been $700 because it was such a large job. I was told I was getting a great deal at $330 because it took her 6 hours even though I am completely dissatisfied with the results. When we inquired about the price and our dissatisfaction, we were responded with rude remarks and cut off, and interrupted. I wouldn't recommend

Wow... I do not recommend this place. I went in with my friend to pick up her wedding dress and for a third time she was told it wasn't finished even though they had the dress since June! There were parts of the dress she shouldn't have touched but did, and the parts she did touch looked like a child sewed it. We had to wait another hour to get "final touches" and it still wasn't properly done. At first I was polite, making inquiries and such, asking how long it took, price (we were driving in from out of town, and my friend gets anxiety with confrontation, we talked about me speaking for her before entering the store) and the attitude instantly changed. I was interrupted multiple times, and had to ask if I could finish what I was saying just to ask a question. I was appalled at her behaviour towards us, and how fast it changed. For an older woman, I expected more professionalism, instead she acted like a child. We will not be returning, and I won't be recommending her to anyone. If you value your wardrobe, go to someone else.

I took a dress to Richelle, so she could take in for me this past June. She was very professional. Richelle asked me when I needed it and I told her by the 29th of June due to me going out of town, and She had it done for me in time and it fit me perfectly She was amazing. I highly recommend her!!!
