A small insurance company that is not interested in treating customers like human beings. They talk in circles and reference fine print.

Edit 2025-09-18: A supervisor reached out without answering questions and referencing fine print. I guess the customer service style is dictated from the top. I suspect RBC would treat customers better.

Insurance is something you never hope to use. Red River Mutual Insurance, however, makes it much easier. I unfortunately have had the experience of needing to make a claim for a large fire. Travis Fehr, the adjuster handling my claim, has made the process understandable, has helped lower my stress and has taken away the anxieties I had regarding dealing with this large fire and the financial pressures involved. Customer service and communication have been quick, clear and considerate. Each iteration has been marked with courtesy and professionalism. My contractors are pleased with the timeliness of payments, and I am thrilled with the ease of navigating through a process so new to me. While unfortunate to be in this situation. Red River Mutual Insurance has made it as smooth as possible, and I plan to be a customer for life.

They are very knowledgeable and helped me understand my insurance and what I would need to worry about. I am in the middle of a claim right now and I’ve heard from everyone what a pain claims are. Honestly this has been simple with their help. We will see what happens with my insurance next year but they have been great so far.

I am very pleased with the prompt and efficient manner in which my claim was handled. The Claims Specialist was very helpful and explained the details of our policy in regards to the claim. Contractors were here with in hours. Overall extremely satisfied with the customer service that was provided to us including the contractors repairing our house. Highly recommend Red River Mutual for your insurance coverage.

We had a comprehensive home policy with glass coverage with a $50 deductible. Our patio door glass broke and filed a claim with Red River and promptly got a call from Joyce Kroeker. They sent out an company they deal with to do an estimate was close to $950 to replace only the one sealed unit within the door. They won't replace the whole door. I asked how this would affect my rates given I was making a claim. I'd apparently loose my claim free discount in the amount of $1200 over 3 years to receive a benefit. So in a nutshell I have to pay another $1200 to get my $950 covered. I paid years into a glass policy which was of absolutely zero benefit and in fact negative. Get a separate policy for glass from Peace Hills insurance and don't waste your money on Red River's glass policy. I feel so ripped off. You pay into insurance, they're happy to take your money and you get nothing in return. Consumers beware of Red River's glass policy which is useless.

Red River Mutual is not a very responsive company when dealing with a customer with a claim. Our first contact with them was on July 11, 2019 with water damage to our floor caused by the A/C unit leaking over the electrical component of the furnace. This, in turn, prevented us from using the A/C through the hottest period of the summer. During the rest of the summer contact from Red River Mutual was nearly no existent. At this time (September 24, 2019) we are still waiting to receive a formal response from them as to what is to be covered under the insurance policy.
