Having incredibly limited knowledge of websites and web design, I (The Flowerman?) had always been very intimidated by technology. I first met Pieter Vorster at an official Courtenay Mayoral function who immediately approached me with a warm handshake and kind words of support. Seeking help with my website, it was our Courtenay Mayor who highly recommended meeting with Pieter’s Pod Creative. Pieter walked me through all their processes and was completely transparent on their approach to billing, offering different strategies to reduce my costs. Because I am just starting out, Pieter encouraged me to take the lead and perform much of the website enhancements myself. After a few one-on-one meetings with Pieter and Michael I was well underway and able to successfully complete the required modifications by myself. This has given me such a feeling of empowerment knowing I can continue to make changes and additions when I need to. I am very excited to launch my website soon. I know Pieter and Michael are just as excited.

I contracted Pod Creative to design a website, he collected a substantial deposit from me but did not start working on my website until 2 weeks before it was due to be complete. I did not like the first draft and tried to work with them to make it more clear what I wanted but was repeatedly told what I had in mind was antiquated. What is closer to the truth is that the owner of Pod Creative was only capable of a narrow website design style and instead of being honest or learning to do what I wanted, he kept expressing anger toward me at our meetings until I felt I could no longer work with him. Pod kept my deposit, I felt bullied by him and I should have sued to get it back but fortunately I found an excellent website designer shortly thereafter. Nothing I wanted Pod to do was antiquated after all and I love my website designed by Sarah Fox of Courtenay/Comox. Be wary of Pod Creative.
