will not ever use this company again!. we had insurance on one property [a cottage that we live in for one year] then tried to get insurance on our new home [brand new custom mini-home on our own property with zero mortgage] 11 kms away- it was a hard nope! we don't have any agents in your area right now to go take a look! strange as any other insurance company was fine with pictures!

I try to mostly leave positive reviews but felt inspired by my experience with PEI mutual. Their Montague agent, Janice I think, hung up on me. I told her that her minimum evaluation of 20,000 on my assets for renter’s insurance exceeded my asset value. She was cordial, but she tried to tell me that she wouldn’t quote me because she didn’t think I wanted or needed home insurance - I told her that was for me to decide. Essentially she was too lazy to provide me with a quote because she suspected I wouldn’t buy from her. I’m a reasonable guy and understand this - however I found the way she tried to manipulate me and then finally hung up to be very rude. Also she did not get back to me the first time I called and requested a quote (before I’d given any info), I had to follow up with her.

We had to call due to a fire and had nothing but positive feedback. I have never needed to call for a claim before so had o idea as how to do it but they qalked me through it and WOW!!! It's not that hard and everything is being looked after for us. From the simple cleaning right up to getting structure fixed and painting and installing of insulation. So I have nothing but positive words for this bunch and their agents. Thanks for making things less complicated in this time.

Good rates but horrible claims service. The agent I dealt with for a major claim was dishonest and had an “I messed up but there is nothing you can do about it attitude”. Best to have a lawyer go over their paperwork if you have insurance with them so in case of a claim then they can’t screw you.

Disgusting, refused to pay out after damage from hurricane Fiona then cancelled our policy because we don’t have a metal roof. ARE NOT EVEN AN ACCREDITED INSURANCE COMPANY… RUN!

Absolutely fantastic island owned company. Can't say enough good things about the staff. From sales to claims to front house reception, they are so genuinely helpful. They are in a beautiful new building and they do have the best prices- I've checked.

Had a flood..still waiting for my insurance money to replace my personal belongings. Was told they are still behind from Fiona. If they are so behind..hire more people. They certainly wouldn't wait 6 weeks for their payments. NOT HAPPY
