First off, I just want to say that it was indeed a pleasure to record a feature album here. The facilities are immaculate, the equipment options available to the artists are formidable, and the consummate professionalism and subject matter expertise of the engineers are second-to-none. Additionally, the pricing of the place is beyond extremely reasonable, and is only made possible by the fact that Dan - the owner-operator - runs this place out of his desire for musicians to have access to this kind of resource (which would cost more than three times as much anywhere else in North America, to be sure). That being said, the reason I gave it three stars is because at a point AFTER the photos of this review were taken, I was promised three studio days by the administrator (whose name I will not mention in this public review), only to find out two weeks in advance that neither the studio nor engineer were available. As I was going to be doing the recording on government grant funding and had already scheduled flights to bring musicians in from elsewhere in the country, this complicated matters insurmountably and resulted in the project being indefinitely postponed and the grant money being repaid to the government agency. My recommendation for anyone who wishes to record here would be to double, triple, and quadruple check your dates for a given engagement. Once you've done so, you are sure to have a wonderful experience upon your arrival, on the date that you have VERIFIABLY SECURED for your recording engagement.
