We weren't sure about home automation, but thought we would look into it. Drayton from New Wave came to our house with samples and prepared to explain the different levels available and what that could mean for our house. He came up with a proposal and made some useful suggestions to improve the functionality of our plan. He was respectful of our limitations and was able to design a system that exactly met our needs. Installation was quick and clean, all the pieces worked exactly as described. One of the blinds was damaged on delivery and it was a no-fuss replacement. We will continue to work with Drayton to automate further bits of our house!

We had such an excellent experience with New Wave that I wanted to sit down and write a proper review.

We had Drayton help us design and install a new electrical system and home automation system for a major renovation for our 1960's Bungalow. For context, I work as an Architect, and I've been acting as General Contractor and Project Manager for the project.

My wife and I weren't sure if we needed home automation, and were wary of the cost of such systems. Drayton was very receptive to our concerns and helped us find a solution that worked for us. We originally hired New Wave to install a new panel and base wiring for the renovation, but after some valuable conversations and eventual demos we knew an automated system was the smart choice for our home.

These things can be intimidating, since electricity is basically witchcraft. Drayton helped us every step of the way, right from early stages where he (patiently!) explained the practical benefits of the various systems, and helped us make the right decisions for us [we went with a smaller system that has the flexibility to expand as we need / can afford it]. To his endless credit, he helped us sort out design, layout, and product selection, and design revisions as our reno progressed. All the while, offering intelligent advice based off of years of experience and solid judgement. He's usually got an opinion, but it's usually one worth trusting.

This has been a big reno, and we've seen a lot of trades. New Wave has been a true stand-out in terms of professionalism, care, and attention to detail. Drayton was always on time, prompt with his calls and quotes, and straight to the point with his recommendations and questions.

Another important thing to note is Drayton's breadth of experience: he has excellent knowledge of the construction process and how other trades work, so his work is finished in a way that makes other trades's work easier. It's small details, but enough that all the following trades have been really complimentary of his work and mentioned how it's saved them time and cost.

To sum up, We are tremendously pleased with the work we've had New Wave complete. My wife and I highly recommend New Wave to anyone needing any manner of electrical work, from smaller common jobs to complex projects like ours. I have already recommended Drayton to friends and family, and I will use him on any and all projects in the future.

We recently had the opportunity to build the house we wanted with everything we wanted.

We worked with Drayton to customize a system with automation of lights, shades, cameras, alarm and music. He was amazing...he walked us through each step and was open and honest about the cost and how we could make it right for us.
