Victoria has been doing my extensions and hair colour for years. She is knowledgeable and always does an excellent job on my hair. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new colourist! I never thought it was possible to have long hair again at my age and I absolutely love it!

First of all, I loved my stylist Carolyn! Fairly new to the salon, stylish and fun, there is no doubt they are lucky to find her. She is warm and welcoming, knowledgeable and talented. I was new, I am a senior, and for lots of reasons, it’s taken almost two years for me to be able to get my hair done by a professional. I felt nervous, but Carolyn was reassuring. She talked with me about my hair we looked at pictures, and she gave me confidence she knew how to fix, colour and cut it to suit me; rare and refreshing! The pictures say it all. The colour is perfect and the cut gave me back the bounce and easy care I love. Thank you, I feel very grateful. ASK FOR CAROLYN

Best place to get your hair cut and/or coloured. When you arrive Niki greets you in her warm and welcoming way. Then Victoria does your hair, she is a master hairdresser and colours your hair professionally. The cuts she rests suits the look you love perfectly. A wonderful experience awaits you!

My daughter had a very unfortunate experience with significantly more hair cut off than asked for and her hair thinned out which she did not ask for. We left with a teenager in tears. A cut that was supposed to be below her shoulders ended up 3 inches long at the back.The response from the owner was very disappointing. He did not ask to see pictures or properly apologize. Instead I was gas lit with, “I am sorry she was disappointed.” and a defensiveness that blamed my child who is unable to see the back of her head while it is being cut. I was hoping for a sympathetic response and collaborative solution. I was repeatedly reminded the hair cut was free, which we appreciate but doesn’t remedy the situation. Instead I was told that the solution was time for it to grow back. Which most certainly will take more than a year to recover from. He said it wouldn’t take that long without even seeing pictures of how short it ended up. I suggested extensions were a solution and he jumped to conclusions about who would be responsible for the cost of that. I hope this business owner learns that a sympathetic response, and a request for pictures, and warm invite to come in would have yielded a better result. He didn’t offer that until the conversation was too elevated and it was clear there was no commitment to helping to remedy the situation. We will certainly never return.

Mooi Hair group is one of the top places on Vancouver island for any hair cut, colour, or style you need! They have top class, experienced hair stylists that will fit anyone and everyone’s needs. They are trustworthy, nice, friendly, and welcoming.
I’ve been coming here for almost a decade and I have always loved my experience. Not only that but everyone I refer to this salon leave happier then when they came in.
They put all of their clients and people first and expect nothing better as a salon!
