Last year's review, edited to add 💡s from a mind-blowing Raceway moment I was remiss not to mention b4 -:prob cuz it makes me cry.. [@ the end]

It's hard to convey the visceral thrill that compels you to pack a cooler on a blistering summer day & burn down to the Raceway to bag your fence-side spot smack next to the track, then drop the tailgate alongside fellow fans - or join 'em in the stands - to experience the heady highs of high-octane drag racing, Mission-style..

Words & pix don't do it - the fun is in BEING THERE. There's usually a breeze coming off the river, but if you get too hot there's always the AC'd trailer that sells Freezies++ (& ball caps.. & $3 HotWheels..) & the stands - esp the parking-lot side - are the coolest spots for viewing races & hearing the emcee, a resident expert who knows his stuff & keeps the crowds informed & entertained with his quick & witty commentary.

It's an ear-bustin, eye-poppin rush of impressive speed machines of all breeds - hot rods of all eras - on display & blasting down the track at breakneck speeds (110-200 MPH not uncommon in 'Street-' themed heats.. & hub's fave 'Door Slammers' often hit 200-260 MPH: pure thrills!)

We've attended each summer now for 6-7 years - good times always guaranteed..

One magic M.R. moment will stick in my mind forever. It was at the end of a full racing day & we were climbing the bridge stairs to leave, when we heard the emcee announce a special exhibition - by an EV! Intrigued, we found a spot on the bridge & waited, eyes glued to the track below. Hushed silence fell as a sleek dark form shot up to the start, refracting the sun's orange glow like shards of glass. Then without a sound it was off, shooting straight down the track like a giant speeding bullet, silent & surreal. In a flash - a blink of an eye - it was a shadowed blur slipped from sight into the night. Time seemed suspended b4 the crowd eventually exhaled in stunned unison, awed by the beauty of what we just saw. (Speed posted: 268 MPH) Simply: EPIC.

Always an enjoyable afternoon at the Mission Raceway Park. And it’s even more fun when you have a friend in the competition whom you can cheer on from the bleachers. Seems like a good track course with sharp turns to navigate after the straightaway. Good amenities. Concession is not a guarantee
. Lots of parking for guests and fans.

It's was fun exciting 😄 alot vendor's all kind s,The only disappointed 😞 was walking so far they should consider golf courts take people from parking lots @more tents to cool off it was extremely hot out people were under bleachers too cool off.

Always a fun time! Caught some nitro funny cars this evening and it had the adrenaline flowing. Older venue but was a classic place growing up, so it brings back memories. Crew does a great job of keeping cars moving down the track. Great place to take your kids, just make sure you bring some ear plugs for them!

Absolutely love this place, it is a staple in missions history. They always have some sort of event going on, as they have a dirt bike/ quad race track, they have a drift/ regular race track, and they have the drag strip all at this compound. Highly recommend bringing your kids to experience the feel of power from some of these cars as it is exhilarating. The staff are extremely friendly and the place is kept extremely clean. Lots and lots of parking always, and they allow camping if you are from out of town and are staying for some of the weekend events. You can also park your truck or SUV along the side of the drag strip to have a really cool view.
They are now starting to stream a lot of the events on MRP Lordco Tv YouTube channel so you don’t miss out on the coverage of these events. Mission residence usually get in for free or get a discount, just bring ID to show that you live in mission.

Over all I will be always coming back to mission raceway park as it never disappoints and is always a great time!

Anytime is a good time for racing so get out and enjoy! Whether it's Friday night street legals, nitro harleys, Nostalgia cars, door slammers, promods and much more!! Cheap local entertainment....there's fun for everyone!
