Just read a bogus review underneath and I have to put my say in!!! It’s an exceptional store with exceptional staff and my experience of it was absolutely wonderful. I understand people have bad days but it is uncalled for to single out a shop and write a bad review picking apart your day on a shop. Uncalled for. And if my memory serves me well the chicken pesto sambo, the tuna melt and the breakfast wrap are MUST tries!!! And the beef sausage rolls hehe… And do not skip the lavender latte, the pumpkin spice or the caramel macchiato. You can’t go wrong here. ?

Little general store & cafe that is worth a stop if you are heading from Vancouver up to Squamish/Whistler.

I already was planning on driving up north to Squamish so I knew I wanted to stop here since I remember getting a really good scone here a few years back. I made sure to download the offline Google map before heading out because I know service is spotty in the area.

As the name states the place is a combined general (convenience) story and cafe. It has a parking lot right at front so parking is easy. I went with a caramel macchiato & the only scone that was left which was cheese scone. I'm pretty sure the place gets limited fresh backed goods and all the good ones sell out earlier in the morning. It was afternoon so pickings were limited & sadly my scone was a little stale. Luckily the caramel macchiato made up for it. It was a really good balance of balanced sweetness from the caramel & what tasted like med/dark toast coffee. Nice, hot & flavorful on a cold day. It was even more enjoyable because the counter top/bar seating faces the water outside.

Aside from the usual cafe, they also sell local beer which you can even enjoy outside if you so please. The general store part contains many of usual goods you'd usually find. I don't have a photo but they had this spicy ketchup chip that was very good.

Oh & if you do make this stop (& you should) be sure to check out the nearby "waterfall." It's to your right as you exit.the store, just up the little hill. It's worth the short walk.

I plan to go to Whistler the next time I'm in Vancouver and I also plan to stop here once again.

Lynn has done a fantastic job, upgrading the store in all aspects : layout, presentation of items, variety, one of a kind items. Light years above previous set up. To make it even more attractive, Lynn keeps sourcing highly desirable items, Dry goods, wines, liquor at reasonable prices. All makes it worth a visit and shopping.
Service is great as well!

Brutal! I don't know what's happened to this place? I used to love it as a destination coffee ride. Gorgeous views, nice snacks, fun gourmet purchases. But today, my husband and I stopped in and the service was awful!!! While I was ordering from the cafe, my husband went to use the washroom. The woman behind the till forbid him if he wasn't buying anything. When he responded his wife was in the cafe, she asked if he was using it for number one or two? If two, he wasn't permitted to use it. What And $3.50 for a drip seems really over priced, especially when they run out of cream, then ask if you really need more because they'll have to open another carton, at 10 am.

Such a lovely store and cafe. I grew up in Lions Bay and have seen it pass through several owners. It’s in fantastic hands now and has such a lovely personal touch. Great spot for tourists and locals alike!

Stopped at this cafe with a few friends on our way to visit whistler for the day. Stopped in for maybe breakfast and/or coffee.

The worst part about my visit was the extremely rude older woman with short dark hair who seemed to be running the place. When she asked what we wanted, we stated the baked goods and I said “Can I get a coffee please? Like a double double, regular coffee with some cream and sugar?”
She scowled at me and said rudely “double double? I don’t know what that is, speak English!” Ummm… excuse me? A two cream two sugar coffee drink? Basically the national coffee of Canada? And what do you mean, speak English?!
Then rudely asked “drip coffee?!” And I said he’s, I guess so.

It wasn’t until after my poor interaction with this lady that I saw the tiniest coffee menu tucked away in the corner of the counter, completely opposite side of the store as the food menu blatantly displayed on the wall.

Not only was she rude to us, she was so snippy and rude to the younger girl working there. “You’re on coffee!” As the young girl was trying to fulfill a customers pastry order after this older woman disappeared to the back without any communication to her team member.

The coffee was very below average and the almond croissant I got was alright (probably the best part of my experience). I just got coffee drip with milk and sugar. Wasn’t expecting anything amazing as a small business in a smaller area.

So disorganized. So small. SO RUDE. I’ve already told everyone I saw today not to bother wasting their money there and I will continue to spread the message.

Cute cafe and convenient store. The owner and the young employee were also lovely. Reasonable price and tasty drinks! It’s always my favourite stop for a quick snack before/ after hiking Tunnel Bluffs.
