This was such a lovely surprise to discover in Cochrane. My sister and I wanted to needle felt some Christmas ornaments with our kids and were told to check out Legacy Studio. Given that it was a home-based studio, I expected a limited inventory. I could not have been more wrong! They have absolutely everything you could need and then some!! The owner was lovely and offered a wealth of tips and suggestions. Needle felting is such a fun and versatile craft, and with all the needle stabs, even the boys get into it. I will definitely be returning!!
My only suggestion is that if you are working with kids, buy 5 times the amount of needles you think you need, lol!

I LOVE this place! I gotten into dry felting and the wool selection is amazing! I also love they the owner, Laura, is so knowledgeable and helpful. It's definitely a must-visit.

Like others I didn't realize this was a home run business, my fault as I didn't read the note on their site about calling ahead to give them a heads up your are coming.
Regardless they are and were open during normal business hours and were happy to help me. The owner is a lovely and knowledgeable lady, her shop is full to the brim with cool felting, spinning, weaving and dyeing products that you can't find even in a LYS.
I just started spinning on a spindle and was eager to try out some different types of fiber, I bought some lovely tussah silk, flax, bamboo, cotton and BFL that are a dream to spin with and much of it was hand dyed by the owner!
Highly recommend a visit, with a call before haha, if you want to be able to touch and look at the fibers you are ordering, nice to see some obscure tools in person as well. Will be going back often I'm sure.

What a treasure trove of hand-spun and hand-dyed yarns and all the tools/information you might need for rug hooking or punch needling. The owner is lovely and so helpful. Workshops are offered as well.

FYI call ahead because I just drove 1.5 hours in the snow to find out this is in someone’s house and they were closed at 3pm on a Wednesday. Pretty disappointing as I’ve been wanting to check it out and get some hand spinning fibre.
