After both my parents passed away, I didn’t want to handle the tax returns myself as executor of both estates so I brought them to Leakey and Lewicki where they were handled by Spencer Leakey. Spencer is extremely knowledgeable, had really helpful advice and spent a ton of time answering my questions. He was also really patient and understanding when I had difficulty locating the necessary paperwork to complete the tax returns. Dealing with estates is a super stressful experience but Spencer’s professionalism and competent, friendly staff actually made dealing with the tax portion the easiest part of the whole estate process.

We are required to submit both a Canadian and a US tax return annually. In years past we were using our US tax accountant, as well as a Canadian accountant here in Canada. It was expensive and not well coordinated, because of the separation between the two organizations. We had the good fortune of meeting Spencer Leakey prior to this tax season. He took over both returns, processed them quickly and efficiently, and saved us a significant amount of money. He was ready to answer any questions that we had, resolved some outstanding questions that had concerned us for some time, was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with.
