I've been working with Kimp for several years now across dozens of client projects, including one long-term engagement that lasted over two and a half years. They’ve consistently been a reliable partner. While not every design is a home run, they get it right about 80% of the time—and when you're moving at the pace of modern marketing, that’s a solid hit rate.

Where Kimp really shines is in website designs and wireframes. Their video service is also excellent—clean, on-brand, and prompt. That said, it’s important to approach the relationship with the right expectations: you’ll still need to play the role of creative director. Thousands of digital assets later — Kimp is still my go-to for design

I’ve been a happy client of Kimp since April 2022. Before working with Kimp, I was intensely focused on growing our We Get Around Network (WGAN) community through content — but admittedly, our brand identity and design needed help. Our logo, website banners, and visual assets lacked the polish I knew we needed to reach the next level.

Kimp changed all that.

From day one, the experience was seamless. I appreciated how Kimp uses Trello-like tools for project management, Loom for quick video feedback, and Google Docs for collaboration — making the workflow highly efficient and asynchronous, which fits perfectly with my style of working. Since partnering with Kimp, they’ve created thousands of digital assets for us, including a complete rebrand of the We Get Around Network, our WGAN-TV Podcast, eBooks, and custom web banners for our clients (and potential clients). They even developed a WGAN Style Guide, which streamlined ongoing design projects and helps when either I or Kimp needs to refer to it. Thanks to Kimp, our branding now looks professional, polished, and consistent across every platform — and yes, friends and family have stopped calling "our baby" ugly!

Beyond the design quality, what I value most is the reliability and speed. Around two designs per day, every day, without missing a beat. The value we’ve gotten for the flat monthly fee is outstanding, especially compared to hiring freelance designers one-off.

If you're considering Kimp, my advice is simple: if you love efficient, asynchronous communication and want to scale your design output without sacrificing quality, Kimp is the perfect fit. And be patient — it takes about a month for the team to fully adopt your aesthetic. Once they do, the results speak for themselves.

I had a promising start with Kimp—initially, the creative images produced were of good quality. However, I found that a significant amount of creative direction was required on my part. By the third month, without prior notice, my design team was switched (unknown to my client), and the quality of work noticeably declined. It feels as though Kimp hooks you in with a top-tier team during the discounted period and then transitions you to a less skilled team once you move to standard pricing.

That said, I did appreciate the convenience of getting designs done within 72 hours, which is a key benefit of their service. Unfortunately, Kimp was unable to meet the expectations I had set with my client, which impacted both my business and reputation. After experiencing this issue twice, I can no longer justify using their services or recommending them to my clients.
