Amazing Experience.

We had a birthday party for my daughter here, slime themed and it went incredibly smoothly. The team here managed to keep 18 six year olds completely engaged in slime activities for an hour. Each kiddo got to bring their two resulting concoctions home!

The facility was perfect. Rooms for the activities with viewing windows for the parents watching, a party room with included decorations, and space for the kids to run off all the excitement.

The owner was very easy going and had everything we needed to make the whole experience perfect.

We had my son's birthday party at the Idea Lab (Explosive Chemistry themed) and it was so much fun!!! Ryan, the owner, was great to deal with and very accomodating and the staff was amazing with the kids! And as a parent, the best part was how stress free this party was as they took care of EVERYTHING, decorations, music, ordering food, beverages, clean up, etc., it was wonderful!!! Plenty for all of the kids to do (all of the parents seemed to love it as well) and they treated my son really special, would 100% recommend if you're looking for a fun, unique place to have a birthday party!!!

This was such a fun experience! The staff are so nice and helpful. The experience itself is non judgemental, inclusive, and fosters creativity and experimentation in children. It’s also super fun! My child can’t wait to come back. The facility is clean, bright, with good lighting and nicely organized. Best of all, it’s messy fun without running around town for supplies and the mess/cleanup at home. 10/10 experience!

So much fun!
Kiddos were here for their cousin’s birthday party. Our first time. They made slime and played with bubbles. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were SO good with the kids. We will definitely be back to explore and learn more!

Thank you, Idea Lab, for hosting our daughter’s birthday. It was absolutely incredible!! We did the chef’s theme birthday party, and the kids had a blast. They made mini-pizza and chocolate chip cookie pizza. The staff was so accommodating and worked with all the kids as they learned how to make pizza. The birthday décor in the room was exactly what we requested, with extra special touches. With the birthday room decorations, gold crowns for all the kids, a cute birthday pin for her, a personalized music list, and a feature wall with her picture. Such a great experience. Each kid was able to bring home a mini pizza and cookie pizza that they prepared on their own. They were all so proud. We will definitely be back!! Thank you

My 10-year-old daughter is an aspiring chef and wanted to take some cooking classes. The problem is, she is vegan and I had my doubts that we would be able to find an organization that would be willing/able to accommodate her dietary preferences. To my surprise, Idea Lab was not only willing to make accommodations, the owner provided me with the recipes for review ahead of time as well.

Furthermore, during the class, each child had their own work station and equipment so children were able make adjustments to the base recipe according to their individual tastes. My daughter loved this because it meant that she didn't feel weird or different because of her food choices and ensured that the final product was vegan, as intended.

As for the actual food, I was super impressed with the variety and complexity of the things that were made. For example, after the pierogi class, my daughter was able to make us all pierogies for lunch, virtually independently.

The staff made the classes so much fun and the fact that one staff member took the time to veganize the recipes and shop for alternative ingredients was amazing.

To summarize, I can't say enough good things about our experience with Idea Lab. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the classes and I really appreciated the efforts that were made to respect her food choices and make her feel included. We will definitely be signing up for more programs in the future.

We had a great experience celebrating my son's 7th birthday at Idea Lab Kids in St. Albert. The owner, Ryan, is very accommodating with my requests and easy to talk to. The staff are respectful, helpful, knowledgeable, patient and great with the kids! The kids and adults had fun in celebrating the party here. We definitely recommend this place for a fun and learning experience for birthday parties! The kids learned something new and enjoyed the activities.

My son went for their valentines event and had the most fun I think he’s ever had. We came to pick him up and he begged to stay longer. Such a great space and the staff seemed amazing. I’ll definitely watch out for more programs here!
