I am new to the area and decided to give this salon a chance based on their reviews, unfortunately I chose a salon that doesn’t care about new clients just keeping their “regulars. First I had to attend a “consultation “, which was an absolute waste of time because Alex did very little of what we discussed. They did however secure a $100.00 deposit.. after consult the stylist advised she had nothing available until July Why give me a consult within days then they’ll me to wait months for an appointment. Long story short I booked with a different stylist as she was available two weeks later. The day of my appointment the first stylist is there She basically told me how happy and lucky I should be because she had a cancellation , okay Either stylist would have been fine. I told her I wanted overall color brown with Carmel highlights AND I showed her a picture.. Missed the mark on that one it’s totally brown ? 3/4 of the way through our appointment she states” I have to cut your hair at a different time due to timing and wanted to” not rush so I can give you the best cut , one that you deserve blah blah blah”… I asked to at least cut my bangs and she did. I left no hair cut (except bangs) wet hair due to her time constraints, paid 294.00 for a job I could have got from a box of color and cut my bangs myself!! I’m writing this long review because the reason she had “no time” was due to her taking 4 hrs to put in highlights ( that can barely be seen NOTHING like the picture I gave her:( ) and she had ANOTHER client ,I wasn’t as important!!! The fact they try to charge high end prices but give substandard customer service and in my opinion, substandard hair services is an insult!! I believe the owner booked me out and was fine taking the money and never questioned why I still had wet hair and was booking for a haircut… as a previous business owner this would not have been acceptable.. now going to look for a salon to fix my hair color, complete what Alex should have. They wasted over 6 hours of my time (travelling 40 mins twice )I should be paid for that… second photo is what I wanted !! NOTHING what I asked for

At first glance, the haircut seemed fine when I was still at the salon, but once I got home and saw the details, it was shocking. The inner layers were visibly longer than the outer layers, creating an uneven and unfinished look (photo attached). It’s hard to believe such a basic bob cut could turn out this poorly.

The salon offered to fix it the next day, but unfortunately, I’m leaving the city soon and don’t have the time to return. Now, I’ll have to find another stylist to fix their mistakes.

This was an disappointing experience. For such a simple haircut, I expected more attention to detail and professionalism. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their technique and customer service.

Update: The salon called a few days ago to apologize and offered a refund. While I wasn’t happy with the haircut, I do appreciate their effort to address the issue. Their customer service was professional, and I’m satisfied with how they handled the situation.

I hadn’t gotten anything done to my hair in 10 years, I got booked with Michelle for a balayage and a trim. SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Everyone there is super friendly and very accommodating. I was offered a beverage as I waited for my hair to treat. I left the salon with the most confidence I’ve felt in years. If you’re ever in the fence about getting your hair done here let me tip you on to the right side and say just go!

The best hair salon hands down for blondes! Kaitlyn has been doing my hair for years and is always on point with my vision. I am super particular with what I like and dislike and I am always happy when I leave. Recommend 100%!

Vanessa truly is the hair wizard. She's been doing my hair for years, and I will follow her wherever. She listens to what I like/dislike, but also gives me honest recommendations based on my hair. She always gives a through walkthrough about what's she's doing, and always makes sure I'm comfortable during the whole process. I always get complements on how my hair looks even after its been weeks. You can tell she really loves what she does and cares about her clients. Can't wait for my next appointment!

I got my hair done by Izzy. She did such an AMAZING cut. Izzy took time to ask what type of cut I wanted, she asked me how short and followed my request to a tee! I absolutely love the outcome of my cut and I will definitely be booking with her again.

I’m such a fussy person when it comes to my hair! I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Michelle! She went above and beyond to make sure I was fully satisfied with my hair and clearly communicated everything she was doing each step of the way. She is such a talented artist and she knows what she’s doing!! I can’t wait to go back and see her again.

All staff and stylists are friendly and welcoming. They are the best salon in NEWMARKET hands down!!

The team at Hair Envy did such an amazing job to complete hair and makeup services for my wedding. Before the event, they were very communicative and flexible to accommodate me. Casey and Amy listened to my vision and we're spot on in providing me with the hair and makeup I imagined for myself and my bridesmaids. I cannot recommend them enough!!
