Golden is trying to preserve its past as a railway town with some interesting exhibits. It was worth the visit. The staff were friendly and answered lots of our questions. A hidden gem in the making

The Golden Museum is among the best of small town museums. Entrance is by donation, it has a number of very good exhibits and you can learn something about the town history and the local first nations. I'm looking forward to our next trip through Golden so we can see their upcoming Doctors of BC exhibit.

Admission is by donation it has a old school house and train station and lots of intriguing information and artifacts definitely recommend I do feel the outside area needs to be cleaned up a little tho then it would be great?

Had to tour ourselves
No guide to talk about the important history so lots of stuff but not knowing the true significance. Staff was present I guess it was just one person so had to be close to the entrance. We were thus to call staff’s if we wanted to ask questions. That was rather inconvenient I’ll say. They ask for a voluntary donation when you come in and as you leave, fyi.

Neat little small town museum that has lots to offer! We spent about an hour here reading the placards and learning about the history of Golden and the region. There a width breadth of topics covered, including Indigenous history and the resource extraction history of the region.

The entrance is by donation and there is also a small gift shop inside with books, postcards, and a small selection local handicrafts. The staff here are also super friendly and eager to answer any questions.

Overall it is a great place to stop while in Golden and is great for people of all ages.

Not very good, we were expecting a little more, but the museum wasn't very well done. There was a lot of reading texts, the layout wasn't very good, and some parts looked like there was zero effort put in. There were tablets that had chords plugged in across the ceilings, some of the displays looked like it was part of a high school science fair, black and white Microsoft word document photo copies glued onto science boards. I know there's limited information to work with but a bit more effort could be put in for the only museum in town.

I went to the museum today and I like it. All the item are well described with their history and where they come from. if you visit Golden, u should check it out.
