Nelson & Vanessa were very accommodating and they have everything you need to put together a strong audition tape. I felt safe, supported and excited about the work we did. My tape was edited and sent off before I left. Nelson is also extremely knowledgeable about the business in Vancouver - I learned a lot!

This is a fantastic place to get self tapes done. Relaxed, friendly environment while still very professional. Lighting and camera are always on point and make the actors look great so they can focus on their work. The coaching is top notch as well, I always feel confident about the directions we're going when I tape with them. Nelson and Vanessa are second to none - both with incredible directing, coaching and reading skills, not to mention excellent lighting and camera to give you the best chance to book that film or tv job. Nelson really understands the TV genres and provides detailed nuanced direction only if you want it, but if I were you, I'd take it! I've booked because of it on more than one occasion!

There are many great things about Nelson and Vanessa at First Glance Studios, I could go on forever. I'd say the biggest thing that comes to mind is their ability to make you feel comfortable. Not just all the time but instantly. They have an uncanny ability to make you feel like you've known them for 10 years, while simultaneously keeping it professional and sharp. They're salt of the earth personality mixed with many years in the industry and the knowledge and lessons that come with it, make this the perfect place for any Actor to film their self tapes, regardless of their experience level. They're great at giving you exactly what you need depending on the audition and every session is unique and fun. I would encourage and invite any Actor to book with them. It's a good time and money well spent.

I love getting my self-tapes done here! Both Nelson and Vanessa are fabulous to work with. They will try their hardest to fit you in (even for those last-minute tape requests), and they will run lines/coach you so that you get your absolute best take. The tape quality is always superb - not only do you look good in their lighting, but the final edited tape is polished. I love walking out of my sessions knowing that they will take care of sending the tape to my agent, with all the details refined. Bonus - both of them are working actors, so they are great resources for getting industry and career guidance!
