EDIT: 09/27/24 - I rewashed these negatives with normal distilled water and wetting agent myself. The difference was huge and fixed all the problems. They did come and visit me in Calgary to drop my negatives off, I do appreciate that. However, I am still disappointed with how the lab did not take any accountability on a simple fix and decided to be defensive about it the whole time.
I wish they improve their services in the future for customers. See attached few photos in comparison.

09/26/24- I had a bad experience with this lab. This is just a warning that it could happen to you.

I sent my ECN-2 Vision 3 for development and scans at AllChromes lab in BC. These are the type of scans I got back. I reached out mentioning what is wrong with them? The entire roll looked like this. They then mentioned it seems to be a mechanical issue, either my camera, xray damage from airports, or cassette being respooled improperly to cause scrapping of the emulsion on the negatives. None of that was true. I contacted my friend who spooled these and showed him the scans, he said this was indeed a lab issue. It looked like the remjet layer was not removed properly and the streaks were from squegueeing dry. This was salvageable though with some baking soda cleaning. But again, Allchromes insisted they are professional and have done many rolls forever and mine was the only one from the batch that came out like this with their batch development. I understand but mistakes happen, and denying responsibility and then claiming that you value honesty and humbleness when you have multiple people telling you this is a lab issue is not professional at all. They did not charge me and stated they don't "need this stress." Although, they persisted on me paying before I complained. They didn't even send me an email for my photos and claimed it was in my spam folder originally. I am very disappointed in how this lab dealt with this whole situation and I lost some memories from this film. I am more upset about them not taking accountability than the film loss. I almost feel gaslit from their responses. I forwarded the solution to them as they are somewhat salvageable from the baking soda cleaning but it seems they reject to do it, which made me feel even more discouraged.

I develop and scan film too but I don't believe in this kind of mindset to not take responsibility. Mistakes happen. Own up to them. I am not trying to defame a company but I hate to see others experience this too. You might have a good experience but this is what happened to me.
