My wife and I rented skis, boots and poles today. The staff getting us set up were great but the staff member who we returned the equipment to left us feeling very upset. He advised that they would have to charge us $70 per pair of skis due to scratches on the bases and we must have skied on the road with them. I explained that all we did was ski on designated runs on the mountain. He then told us we should have paid the $5 per pair waiver to cover scratches when we rented them. This got me more upset because we were never even given the option. What really got my blood boiling was he told me all their staff offer the waiver with every rental. I felt like he was accusing me of lying when I told home we were never given the waiver option.

Girlfriend wanted to get a new set of Oakley goggles. She tried on and fell in love with the Pro Miners (comes with two lenses), but was told the only one left was the floor model on the rack. We were a bit bummed that she was buying the ones everyone's tried on, but oh well, few fingerprint smudges never hurt anybody. Got home and she openned the box, excited to see what the other, low-vis lenses would look like, only to find that they were the exact same (but with the plastic seal still on). Oh well, it's a headache, but back to Elevation I go to see if they have the other set of lenses that go with. New person on the till this time, so I explain the situation. The manager comes out and explains it's the last model so there's 2 options: partial refund and keep the goggles (with two identical high-vis lenses), or full refund. I decided, sadly, to do the full refund, but right before she credited it back to me I decided to call my girlfriend first, see what she wanted to do as they were to be hers after all. While on the phone, the cashier turned around and magically found a box with the other lenses in them. Hooray! Problem solved right?! Well, I then asked if it would be alright to keep the high-vis lenses that had the seal still on them instead of the unsealed, floor model duplicates. So she checked with the manager in her office just a few feet away.

Cashier: "Hey can he keep the sealed lense that came in his box instead of the floor model one"

Manager: "Ugh seriously?... Shoot me!" (Yes she said shoot me)

Cashier returns and starts attempting to pull off the old lenses to replace them with new the ones she'd found, not knowing there's buttons on the side to unlock the mechanism. I quickly intervened to show her the buttons before she caused any damage. She replied lightly, "haha I don't know how these oakley goggles work". Great. Just great.

All in all, I have no gripe with the cashier, it was the manager's self-depricating, apathetic attitude that really made me feel unwelcomed and unjustified just for wanting sealed lenses on my "brand new" set of $350 goggles. Really great job y'all. Sorry I was such an inconvenience to you.

Went in to the store two different days. No hello, the staff just sat around talking, not even asking if I needed help with sizes. Just sat there and watched me try to put elbow pads and knee pads back together. The only acknowledgment was asking the dog what he was doing because he was the only staff member that ever that came near me. Glad the dog is buying something…🙄

Love the service and the experience at the store. Mieta was so kind and professional to help me with the rental. The waxing and tech for my board was so kind and helped me get my board great and running. Elisa helped my family with boots explaining each model and the difference.

Very impressed! Had gone to another ski shop in Sun Peaks where I was ignored so I walked across the street and was served promptly and knowledgeably. The shop team was able to install my new bindings in about an hour. Very professional (and cool 😎)

Highly recommend. They are my new go to ski shop in Sun Peaks!

The people including the manager went above and beyond with the demo skis and getting me the skis I wanted even though they were sold out of them . 5 star would go higher if it let me.
