One of a very few hotels that are in town. The room wasn’t cheap but no hotels in town have cheap rooms. Had availability and allowed dogs which was very important aspect for us. The room was older but properly maintained, there was a fan and a heater in the room, the beds were comfy and smelled nice. The lady checking us in was very nice and even showed us where the room was. Parking is plentiful. For one night it was a great choice!

PET FRIENDLY!! Had a great stay, people and service were extremely nice. The hotel itself was very well looked after. However I had a battle in the night with a spruce beetle. Don’t know how he got in the door was shut the whole time but it was very startling while I was woken up. Overall a good resting area and very good pricing. I will be returning.

Let me preface this by saying anyone who is staying here knows what they’re getting into. The super negative reviews seem to be upset this isn’t a 5 star resort, but I’m basing my review around the assumption this would be a motel and my ranking is based on a motel scale. If someone is staying here they’re likely just passing through and looking for a place to rest their head for a night. Dragon’s Den provides just that and has the added benefit of being pet friendly! The room was clean, the area outside seemed quiet, and the staff we spoke to at Andrea’s hotel to check in were helpful and friendly. It’s on the expensive side for a somewhat rundown motel, but there’s not many other options so the hotels in the area can pretty much name their price.

Cons:
- exterior of the building is fairly unkempt and the premises feels fairly unmanaged.
- the lobby and the restaurant for the dragons den were shut when we got here. Had to go to Andrea’s 4 buildings over to check in.
- outdated furniture and bedding.

Pros:
- everything seemed very clean.
-WiFi worked fairly well and there was cable TV to kill some time.
-ample parking.
-pet friendly!
- free cookie at check in!

Some easy additions if the hotel staff look at this:
-blackout curtains would be a good and easy addition for the long summer days.
- towel hooks and newer linens would be nice for the bathrooms.
- if the lobby area isn’t going to be used, a small communal area with a microwave and kettle would be good just to heat up a meal or instant noodles.

The pictures of this place is very deceitful. The bathroom was in disrepair, and the room was very dirty. The light in our room was a bright led on the . The motel is way over priced. All in all if you are ok with the rooms being in such bad shape, it’s an ok place to sleep for the night.

Do not stay here. A horrible value. $183 for a dingy room. Not to mention all the handy man specials gone wrong- hole in ceiling, mis matched poorly patched flooring and walls, busted exposed radiator, no central heating or cooling, water barely warm.

This is a last resort hotel. The room was not clean. The wastebasket was full under sink. Advertised as home away from home - I would not stay in this home. It was our last resort for trip through Canada - we will make sure to not stay at this again.

Ugly, bland describes everything here. Expensive. Bad service, the front desk clerk was either high or daft or both. Fridge was so loud I had to unplug it. Nowhere to plug in the tiny coffee maker without getting down on all fours. Beds very soft and flimsy. Window drapes didn't cover the windows. Beds sank and provided no support. Tv didn't work. Wifi was slow. Back door to hotel was never locked.

This place is a dump.

Quaint rooms, old fashioned double bed cabin rooms. Seems a quiet little corner of the hotel row, operated by Andrea’s up the road a bit.
Honest run business and conveniently located for mid town Watson Lake.
