Creation Station Daycare - Delta, British Columbia

I have such a profound appreciation for the care that the team at Creation Station has provided for my child. I was a busy, working mum of 2 when I first found a placement for my older daughter at Creation Station. She was 2 1/2 , and developing some challenging behaviour that I wasn’t entirely sure how to handle, and was struggling to find the bandwidth to even try. Well, I am embarrassed to say, I wound up not needing to. I feel like the wonderful women at Creation Station did the work for me. She has flourished there, and the change of behaviour I witnessed after she started, was honestly jaw-dropping. The setting of boundaries and guidelines that she clearly responded so positively to, was something that I was able to seamlessly carry back into our home. Of course, my biggest rave is that it is never a fight in the morning when I tell her we’re going to daycare. She is happy to be going, and she’s happy when I pick her up. Feeling confident in your child’s well-being when you are at work is SUCH a relief. I cannot WAIT until my younger is old enough to start with Merril and her team. What an amazing gift we have been given having our children at this wonderful Center.

My little guy left the old daycare because his older brother who was in the same daycare classroom with my younger one was entering Kindergarten. He was so depressed for the longest while. I had no choice but to transfer my younger one to Merril's daycare in order to be closer to home. His behaviours changed instantly. He became quiet and stubborn. I anticipated it would take him a while to adjust and become more independent without his older brother around. Merril and her staffs have been super amazing, patient and caring towards my little guy since the very first day. My little guy has improved significantly in terms of behaviours - he listens well to instructions, understands his routine, becomes more independent, and he is FINALLY potty trained thanks to all the staffs for their patience and persistence. He simply loves the new daycare. Everyday I come home to hear my little guy sharing with me about how much he loves Merril's daycare. He says "Mommy, I like the new daycare. I like Rebecca... I like Merril..... I like Leah.... I like EVERYBODY." 🙂 🙂 As long as my little guy is happy, mama is happy. That's all that matters to me.

I would like to start out by saying, this place is not a daycare facility at all!!!!!

The word "daycare" implies that kids come to a place that looks after your child, gives them a snack and keeps your kids entertained for a few hours and sends them on their way.

Creation station does not do that!!!!!!!!!!

Creation station is WAY MORE than that!!!!

I was given the chance to come and observe the daily workings of this child centered educational program, sorry I mean "daycare" for my practicum and I was blown away at the level of education the wonderful ladies at this facility provides for the children. These tiny humans are provided a strategical education experience that I don't think most grade schools even get.

The children work in small group sizes with one team member leading them through their own individually curated lesson plan meeting the children at their own personal development level. There are daily group participation activities that each team member takes turns doing through the week so it keeps the activity's fresh and exciting instead of the same thing everyday.

I compared my notes and observations with my fellow classmates and was horrified at what they experienced in other actual daycare facilities compared to what I observed. Even my instructor was floored by the level to which the team here at Creation Station took to helping the children grow in life and in their educational development.
I hope the parents know what their kids are getting treated to.

I would like to thank the team once again for giving me the opportunity to witness them providing an inclusive, connective, interactive, and fun learning experience. I feel blessed to have been part of the love and care that you all put into each moment with these wonderful tiny humans.

To the team, Amy, Rebecca, Leah, Shahrina, Marilou, led by the amazing Merril, thank you all for the honor of witnessing this educational experience. You have given me deeper appreciation for the educators of the younger generations. Everyone of these children are better for not only being in your presence, but for hardwiring them for future success in their educational pursuits and life itself.

I could keep going and telling you all about how well this team is preparing these kids for their future and providing an actual learning experience, but my fingers hurt.

To all the parents who have their kids enrolled here, I hope you truly appreciate these wonderful women for what they do for your children.

To all the parents that are considering enrolling their children here, do it.

Just do it.

Merrill and all the staff are awesome! I would recommend them to everyone! My daughter loved all her teachers especially Rebecca and Sarah! Unfortunately we moved out of province so we had to pull Sadie out of their program, but they did have an awesome positive influence on her and her growth. We miss them all !
