Having grown my business through “conventional” or “old world” means (mail-outs, newsprint, emailed newsletters, coffee and lunch meets) over 3 years I decided that I needed a comprehensive yet affordable on-line strategy to complete my offering. I get approached by (literally) hundreds of online strategy companies each month. I was looking for a company that took the same practical, grass-roots, common-sense approach that had grown my business to where it was. A business whose principals would appreciate that I knew my market, they knew their stuff but only together would this work.
I wanted, not just results but, a partner that would get to know me, my business, my USPs to the market and appreciate that I wanted (as much as possible in a world that moves from the amorphous e-relationship to the human relationship) some sense of ROI on my spend.
I wanted:
- a sensibly deployed paid ad program that was targeted to my USPs and geography;
- to see my website display organically on the first page of the searches that are relevant to enquiry I’m seeking;
- to appreciate that my AdWords program and Online Strategy needed to - be designed to sell my clients’ homes AND me (as the first “sale” in the process);
- to think tactically and make suggestions usually limited to the boardrooms of large corporates;
- a service provider that would pick up the phone, respond to text/email on a timely basis and who would meet regularly to de-brief, re-cap and, if necessary, fine-tune what I was doing.
