Jan has taught two of our kids piano and has taken them to levels of accomplishment they had not previously known. Our youngest, still in his teens, has gone from abhorring piano to loving piano--now playing movie scores and jazz on his own initiative. It's why I've chosen Jan to re-teach me piano as an ADULT learner. My interest is not waning, while Jan's ability and enthusiasm to teach is making this journey very enjoyable. I'm blessed to have Jan with his phenomenal talent, willing and able to teach at a level far lower than his skill. He and his team are simply the best. If you are in driving distance of Sherwood Park, you will want to be under Jan's tutelage.

I met Jan about 14 years ago when he had just opened his studio. He had my oldest daughter reading sheet music and playing piano before she could even read English! Since then, my 3 other children have been taught by him and his team. All of my kids have won multiple awards. Not only does Classic Studios provide lessons on piano, guitar, voice and other instruments, but they also teach students how to compose music, have showmanship, manners and humour! This in turn builds confidence. Because of Jan and Classic Studios, my oldest daughter now performs on weekends at various venues with live music!

Jan is such an enthusiastic teacher. He has been teaching myself and my grandchildren for some time now. He makes teaching fun and exciting and we're always learning new things. We have been with Jan for over a year now, with 2 of my kids and they love him. He’s so quick to connect with the kids on a personal level and it makes learning piano so much fun for them. I am recently retired and wanted to take piano. I learned a little piano when I was a child.
I am very happy to be a student. I learn a lot about playing piano and I also feel fortunate to be a student of Jan’s. I get much more then the skill. My self confidence is increasing from his encouragement. I thoroughly enjoy playing at home.

excellent music studio. My son enjoys his lessons, and practices independently as he is interested in the music played. There is an emphasis on service to others and performing, from the very beginning, which prevents performance anxiety from getting out of hand ( one theory on why musicians have higher performance anxiety than other performers is that they practice by themselves without an audience). As a result, my son's learning music is benefiting our family and faith community as he is willing to play for us, so we can sing with him, etc, a great blessing indeed

Jan's presentation on AI and music apps was terrific. He was engaging and knowledgeable, and he was able to impart a lot of information and useful tips in a short amount of time. Our delegates came away from the session excited and eager to explore all the resources. Some self-described "techies" were astonished to discover that they had never heard of some of the resources that he shared. Working with Jan was effortless, and a pleasure.
