It was a rainy day in Gibson where most places were closed due to the holiday. Something told me to call her gallery anyway and something told her to pick up a call from a non-local phone number. The universe spoke and a connection was made! We had the pleasure of stepping into Christy’s beautiful world and were taken aback by the colors and textures of her work. She and her husband (and let’s not forget the adorable Poppy!) were so welcoming. Christy is tremendously talented and I felt honored to be asked my thoughts on a title for the piece we ultimately selected- ‘Perseverance.’ I will forever cherish this experience and this piece. I had the pleasure of meeting Christy when I went to her studio with my daughter. She had bought one of her paintings and she wanted to go look at some more. I later bought a very small one of a vase and flowers which I love. Later, I saw one of her paintings on line and had to have it. It was a much larger, very colourful painting of flowers again. I am so happy I have it in my living room and it looks beautiful. If you get a chance to see her studio, please go.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Christy and David. They are such lovely people! Christy is quite the talented artist. It was hard to choose a painting as we liked so many. In the end, we are so happy with the artwork we got. It is a perfect souvenir of our trip to Gibsons and hangs proudly in our dining room.
