I purchased a Groupon to Chris Bernard Photography so I could have boudoir photographs taken as a wedding gift for my husband. I didn't know anything about boudoir photography and appreciated the opportunity to purchase a session at a discounted rate. My session took place in the spring of 2013 as my wedding was that summer. Just before my session, I took advantage of the makeover option through Lily Le Makeup Artistry. The change was stunning! It was worth the extra cost to have her make me over. I felt like a real model! Although I looked and felt very beautiful, I was nervous about having my picture taken as I am on the bigger side. Both Kimber and Chris made me feel very relaxed and took a variety of photos so I would have lots of options to choose from. The end results were fantastic; they were tasteful and yet definitely showed off my playful, sexy side. The final photo book I ordered did cost a fair amount, but as the finished product was professional and polished, I felt it was worth every penny. We plan on hiring Chris to take more photos of our family in the future. I would definitely recommend their services! It was a great deal!

Chris and Kimber are very professional. I purchased a groupon for a boudoir photo shoot for my girlfriend. She was very nervous and not sure what to expect. But her experience was professional and pleasant. The couple shoots out of their home, but make you feel right at home. Make up artist was fantastic. Photos turned out better than I could of imagined.

Highly recommend if you are thinking about boudoir. We will likely return for a couples shoot.

What a wonderful experience!
Went with 2 of my friends as we all had a Groupon. One friend had done boudoir photos before while my other friend and myself were newbies and honestly more than a little frightened.
Was instantly put at ease with Lily doing our hair and makeup.. Laughed a lot as we each took turns in her chair.
Kimber was amazing with picking outfits through the million pieces I brought with me and her eye for poses is incredible!
Chris is a brilliant photographer and I could just not be happier with how my pictures turned out.
I tell all my friends and family about these guys and am also planning on going back and having more pictures done next year.
Could not sing the praises loud enough!
Also if you get the chance to meet their dog you will fall instantly in love!! lol 🙂

I had a boudoir shoot with this couple just a few weeks ago, the aim being to eventually use the photographs in an album as a groom's gift. I have never done a photoshoot of this nature before however, I was used slightly used to the camera and posing in positions that feel odd due to years of dance. However, was still super nervous and skeptical about how the photos might turn out. I ended up having an awesome time! It was not uncomfortable at all, I love how Kimber does all the posing for you. They were really encouraging the entire time and very professional. I had time to do five different looks when all was said and done. The photographs are amazing! I showed them to all my girlfriends and everyone was stunned, they made me look like a model basically!! A bunch of them want to do boudoir shots after seeing mine. I chose to get a linen album made where I got to pick my favorite photos and there were only a few of the edited images that I didn't absolutely love. All in all, such a unique and rewarding experience, I keep ranting about it to anyone that will listen. There are some photos that look so good, I literally want to show them to strangers...!

I purchased a Groupon from Chris Benard for a fun experience/first time photoshoot. It was a lot of fun. The photos turned out very nice even though I dint get the hair and makeup- I would have liked to have more poses looking at the camera, but that's just me- try and know what you want before you go, unlike myself -so that you can get exactly what you desire l. Anyways Both Chris and Kimber were professional , it was not awkward at all so don't be nervous. Only reason why I put 4 stars is b/c I do think the photos are too pricy for me -something like 5 photo prints for $350 (don't quote me- look it up) but only because I wasn't doing it for a event- if I was though i would invest for sure. But yah If the photos where cheaper id have a hundred photoshoots with them . ... Hope this helps 🙂

I Purchased a Groupon for Chris Bernard Boudoir Shoot. Being that it was a Groupon I wasn't too sure if I would get the same ' experience ' as someone who paid full price. So, I was a little nervous and wary before hand.

Once I arrived at their house (by myself) I was so nervous about going in! Being it my first time ever doing something like this. I walked in not know what to expect and I was quickly greeted by the makeup/hair stylist - she told me where to put my bags of clothes and she swooshed me off into a room and started my makeup/hair. She was super easy to talk too and she ease my nervousness!

Kimber and Chris were both very professional - and Kimber showed you how to pose and wasn't awkward in the slightest about it. She made me feel at ease.

Chris was very respectful and professional and him and Kimber always made sure i was comfortable in what poses I wanted. 🙂

In May 2013 I went to Chris Bernard Photography to get boudoir photos done. Before going to my appointment I looked on his website and saw beautiful photos and my excitement started to overcome the nerves I was feeling. I prepared myself and brought all of the items I thought I would need for the shoot. The couple shoots out of their own home. This would not have been such an issue if their young children were out of the home during my shoot. I was not comfortable AT ALL with children being around while I was walking around with minimal clothing on. What I imagined was something a little more secluded. My makeup and hair were done, I supposed I should have been a little more involved with choosing the colors for that as I did not really like the colors chosen for my skin tone. Then the photo session started. Now my mother is a professional photographer as well. She has taken pictures of me my whole life (I was 28 at the time of this shoot, now 29). That is a looooonnnggg time to have learned many tricks and different poses. I know how awkward it can feel to pose in a way that does not feel right but looks great on camera so as per my experience I followed the direction of the photographer. I was given three or four outfit changes during the shoot but because there were not many choices of background in their living room where the shoot took place one of my outfits clashed completely with the red couch they put me on. After the shoot was over I was still nervous but also excited for my photos. Upon receiving my photos and reviewing them I was very upset. I am a size 18 woman so a little larger than average and the positions I was placed in were not flattering at all! It became apparent to me that Chris Bernard Photography was not used to working with bigger women. Again, I have had many family, individual and seasonal photos taken by my mother that were amazing! I have seen other larger women’s boudoir photos and they turned out beautiful. I was very unhappy with my photos and did report that to Chris Bernard Photography after they hinted a few times that they did not understand why I was unhappy with my photos. I explained the importance of carefully choosing positions fit to a person’s body and that not all poses flatter all women. If you are a slightly larger than average woman you may want to look into using someone else who has experience with multiple body types. As of today when I looked on Chris Bernard photography’s website there are no larger than average women on their website. The only reason I wrote this review is because I recently received an email from Chris Bernard photography requesting that I write a review, that is why it is so far from the date of my shoot.
