Amazing selection of books, pottery, original artwork. A treasure of Alberta creativity! Staff are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Worth a visit! Plus there's an excellent Vietnamese restaurant around the corner.

If you are in southern Alberta you have to stop in at the Bluerock Gallery. This gallery/bookstore/gift shop is located half an hour south of Calgary on the Cowboy Trail. There is a large selection of Canadian authors. I was impressed to see a specific section for First Nation books. The store carries pottery from local artists. The staff are friendly and helpful. I bought some books for my grandson, but I will be back to look for something for me!

Visited today (September 4th) and was the highlight of our road trip with friends visiting from afar. Everything is clearly personally chosen and the gal/staff at the center of it all was small town friendly as well. We were planning to just look around, but that's not going to work out here 🙂 Left with some treasures.

Great selection of local pieces. Everything from paintings to pottery to local books. A really great place to support local through. We have made the trip out here many times for presents for our loved ones! Always a big hit!

What a wonderfully curated gallery/shop! I was surprised at how extensive the selection of this shop was, and everything is clearly very high quality, though there are definitely products in all price ranges. Definitely worth the drive, we easily spent 90 minutes exploring everything they had to offer.

Special shout-out to Annika who was truly lovely to chat with, she knew so much about the art pieces and was a delightful host.

And kudos to the curator of the book selection, clearly a lot of care and dedication has gone into the choices on the shelves, there were a number of times where I did a double take when I saw certain books and topics there, incredible work on that! Picked up a few I’m looking forward to cracking open soon!
