Just had a 3 night stay and it was excellent. The digital check-in process was a breeze. The room was clean, and the amenities were lovely. We enjoyed the lounge space with the fire and couches, and made tea lattes daily.

It was quiet, and to be honest we loved the sound of the train. The location made the rest of town easy to get around. The staff were so helpful and polite.

Have already recommended to pals and will definitely will book again. My only feedback is a wish they had some extra/firmer pillows available. The ones on the bed are quite soft! The staff were great and grabbed us some folded sheets which did in a pinch. Next time we don’t mind bringing some, normally we would have.

Honestly a great value stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing First Stay at Basecamp Lodge!

This was our first time staying at Basecamp Lodge in Canmore, and we were very satisfied with our experience! The lodge has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and we especially loved the pantry area where we could heat our food. It was so convenient, and the free coffee was a great bonus! The common space felt like a comfortable sala, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is also great, with beautiful mountain views and easy access to everything in Canmore. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

Location is great! Right near Rocky Mountain bagel for breakfast and walking distance to many other eateries. It is a bit confusing because there is another place right beside it with similar name but that's okay. The room was clean and I loved how all the amenities they provided were from the Rocky Mountain brand. The bed were not that comfortable. We barely got good rest. The heater was extremely loud and the train that passed several times during the night woke us up. Thankfully they did provide ear plugs but it was annoying for sure. The views were great and the prices were great. I just wish the beds were more comfy then we would go back with less hesitation.

Fantastic stay in Canmore. Stayed twice in a week for work and will definitely be back!! Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Both my rooms backed onto the train. The building/ windows are nearly sound proof and I barely heard the train. Ear plugs are also provided if desired.

We loved our stay at Basecamp Lodge! The rooms were clean, simple, yet had thoughtful features such as soap made locally and smelled great and the earplugs (thought not needed!) showed that our hosts thought of everything!

When we booked our room, we were not aware of the shared coffee and relaxing lounge. How nice to have a latte and sit in the common area, watching the sun rise over the mountain. Perhaps knowing that may be a draw to others.

Thank you again for a nice stay. We look forward to our next stay.

I’ve been to hundreds of hotels and have only ever left a review once before. That should tell you something. To start, the gentleman at the counter was fantastic and the reason I stayed here after looking at a few places. Room is nice, clean. The soaps, lotion, shampoos are high quality and smell good. Great location, good price for Canmore. Rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable. I have nothing critical to say about this place. Definitely coming back some day

Great value accommodation.
The room had everything we needed and the Lodge's shared kitchen, sauna, and lounge area were awesome perks!

Generally speaking, it was clean and comfortable. Area felt moderately busy but also very safe.
Beds: incredible, fluffy.
Room: very spacious! stayed in a double queen room, overlooked parking lot but also above that were some lovely mountains. it felt like ac never got the room actually COLD - maybe 73 at best? We did a lot of hiking and wanted a cold room to sleep in! I specifically chose a hotel with AC for this reason. Also, had limited plugs and small nightstands so it was a bit hard to charge multiple devices. They had industrial no-shade lamps and no soft lighting option.
Noise level: didn't hear other guests, train was loud but the noise is brief. I feel like we slept fine.
Breakfast: muffins, bread, juice, coffee, apples, bananas. Def more of a "grab n go" vs sit-down hearty breakfast!
