DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS when they tell you your bike will be fixed by a certain day. I have a month long bike trip planned for July 16. I took my bike in at the beginning of July to get gearing fixed up; I suspected I needed a new drive train - chain, sprocket etc. I told them I needed it by the 15th and was told that would be no problem; it would be ready in 2 - 3 days. After 3 days I'm told they don't have the sprocket but they could have it in a few days and the job will be done by the 15th. It's a longer story than what I'm giving you but I'll keep to the main point in that, not only had they not done the job by the 15th but when I showed up to pick up my bike, they actually got on the phone to look for the parts I needed. They had done nothing up to this point!! I'm left scrambling to dig up my old mothballed bike to get it ready for my trip.

Very same thing happened 5 years ago. Was told bike would be ready in 3 weeks but they only started looking at the bike after three weeks. That's when they discovered it needed parts that they didn't have. The 3 weeks turned into 4, into 5, and finally 6, with much bad feeling. They even got snarky with me telling me to stop calling as they would call me when it got done.

Done with Banks bikes!!

We are from Edmonton, AB travelling across Canada, my e-bike needed repairs, but we only had a short stay in The Valley before we were leaving and heading to Florida.
Colin called and said the part was on order but no guarantee it would be here in time. As a last resort, Colin would have taken the part off his bike in order to fix mine !!
In the end, the part came in, my bike was fixed and I left a very happy customer.
Colin and his staff went above & beyond to repair my e-bike. I am so grateful for their help and customer service, they are amazing.

These guys are great! They are always my first stop when looking for bikes or components. Their knowledge and willingness to assist is awesome. I live 1.5 hours away and it is still my first choice. For those not familiar with the area, it is rural bike shop and stocked appropriately. If they do not have what you are looking for, they will often refer you to the bigger shops in Halifax. I for one appreciate their honesty about that rather than trying to sell you something else that isn't what you are looking for.
