artsPlace has been a formidable client of mine since 2004. I've worked for artsPlace multiple times, both as a festival faculty member and as a performing artist. They treat their students and staff equally well, and I'm thrilled that such a consummate organisation exists in the valley. It is of the highest degree, and it is not to be taken for granted.

This is specific to Arts Camp. My son has done two programs over two years and we have been extremely disappointed.

Specific to this year, We found out through his older cousin who also attended, that he was being bullied (punched in the stomach was the catalyst for me to speak to the camp) for two days. This was addressed, but then the teachers singled him out after this as the difficult one. What do you expect after two days of 3 kids ganging up on him, of course he will go into defense mode.

So... what I noticed, that in the 6-8 years program that the ratio of Teacher to Kids seemed way to high for this age group. In addition the teachers need much more leadership and training in managing this age group and class dynamics.

Also, they are not able to appropriately handle difficult situations within the group and maybe most parents would brush this off, but I expected more especially with the cost associated.

So if your kid is OK sitting and doing sub-par crafts it might work, but not for us.

A wonderfully intimate theater for a live concert. Heard Sean McCann, an awesomely lively performance played to a very responsive audience. Enchanting!

Beautiful space and friendly staff! We wandered in to take a look and ended up being invited to take part in a textiles printing class! The class was engaging and the instructor was very pleasant! Highly recommended you drop in for a look!

Lovely venue with friendly staff/volunteers and a good drink selection. Smart with the popcorn because the smell made everyone want some!
