AMV Weddings – Highly Recommended!

I can’t say enough great things about AMV Weddings! From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and a joy to work with. They truly make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is so important during special moments when emotions are high.

I’ve used AMV for more than just my wedding day — they’ve helped bring energy and fun to multiple events, including fundraising galas, disco-themed parties, and even our Stag and Doe. Their DJ not only plays great music but fully embraces themed events, dressing up and becoming a big part of the entertainment experience. They also engaged the crowd at our Stag n Doe, encouraging our guests to participate.

No matter the occasion, AMV goes above and beyond. Their team is organized, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. I would absolutely recommend them for any wedding or event where you want quality service, fun, and peace of mind.

My husband and I got married June 28th, 2025.
AMV was incredibly throughout our entire planning process leading up to the wedding and on our big day.
They we're there for any questions and concerns and answered e mails promptly to put my mind at ease, they were helpful with my last minute changes and additions for the DJ.
Our photographers were incredible, taking all of the standard wedding shots and then some, I feel as though they went above and beyond for us.
As a bride, who had a lot on my mind that day, our photographer made sure we got the shots that I was not thinking of / would have forgotten.
Our DJ was incredible, playing all of the right things to keep the dance floor active and making sure he played all of the songs we requested to have played, he communicated well with us and made sure of things before hand.
It was such a short time ago still that we are waiting on our photos from the wedding, so I will update accordingly if need be but we absolutely loved our engagement photos they did for us, and I'm looking forward to seeing the incredible finished product of the wedding photos.

We used AMV for our DJ, Video, and photography for our wedding this year. From the planning process, to the (complementary) engagement shoot, to the actual wedding day, we were nothing short of impressed. Jay and team are the real deal, and you WILL NOT be disappointed.

Dennis was our main photographer, and the rest of the crew was simply outstanding. Taking care of our families and making sure we got all of the shots we wanted throughout the day. As the bride and groom, we felt completely at ease and comfortable with this team. They knew how to get the perfect shots, and make us come out of our shell (we are not always the most excited to take pics). Having the complementary engagement shoot was the perfect opportunity to meet the photographer, and was a great “trial” run for the wedding day. I ended up being so impressed with Dennis’ work that I hired him to shoot at my bridal shower as well.

For the videography, the same day edit was INCREDIBLE! It brought tears to our eyes and we received great feedback from our families on the beautiful recap of the day. This is one of AMV’s signature products and I’m so glad we decided to get this.

We also used AMV for their DJ and MC services, the music was fantastic as we gave them a list of songs and blended in others that fit the vibe we wanted. They also coordinated the lighting of the room with the banquet hall, which was a perfect touch!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer and Videographer, look no further. Jay is extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with. Tina in the office makes every step of the way less stressful, and is always there to assist when needed.

Overall, this was a 10/10 experience, and one of the main highlights of our wedding. Thank you Jay, AMV, and team!

We had our wedding in October 2022. AMV did our photography (for both wedding day and engagement photos), and wedding day videography. I understand this review is extremely delayed, however I wanted to wait to write this review until I was officially done working with AMV, I'll explain below.

I'll start with videography, I would highly recommend AMV for your special event. The same day edit, 60 second highlight video, and cinematic film they created for our wedding were fantastic. When I first received my cinematic film there were a few parts I requested to be changed, AMV happily changed the video and re-sent it within a few weeks.

Now let me talk about the wedding day photography which unfortunately left a bad taste in my mouth. I had two issues with my wedding photos. The first issue was the lack of professionalism in the photos themselves. I have numerous photos where the people being photographed are not centered in the photo, either too much to the left/right, or too much of the ceiling/sky is showing with the people's bottom half of their bodies being cut off. I have photos that were taken on an angle, and photos where people are not standing in the proper position which resulted in awkward gaps between people (in larger family photos and bridal party photos). I feel like these are things a photographer should have caught, as a bride it's not my responsibility to ensure people are standing in the proper place.

The second issue is the lack of photos of specific things. After looking through all my photos (thousands of them), I made a lengthy list of photos that were missing. For example, my welcome vignette in the reception hall, my receiving table (card box, signing book), the reception hall from afar (not just closeups), custom white vinyl dance floor, and centerpieces (although AMV did take photos of my head table, family table, and guest emperors tables, they failed to take a single photo of the 30 guest table centerpieces I had which were different from the rest). My groomsmen spent 30 minutes with the photographer at Dundurn Castle, I probably have 1 usable photo....I could go on and on.When making my thank you cards it was difficult to find 2-3 photos of myself and my husband that I loved enough to put onto the card.

As soon as I received my wedding photos I spoke with Tina to express my frustration, therefore this negative review should be no surprise to AMV. Regarding the missing photos, I suggested taking screenshots from our cinematic film, which AMV agreed to do. Although it wasn't the best quality, it was better than nothing. I would like to mention that I have seen AMV do some pretty beautiful photos both through my friends wedding and on their instagram, I guess it all depends on which photographer gets assigned to your wedding. We did manage to get some beautiful photos (attached here), but I was disappointed with the amount of "good" photos we had.

Lastly, I would like to talk about their communication. During the wedding process they were flawless, extremely helpful and always there for any questions I had. However, in the months following the wedding once I received my photos and revised videography, everything changed. As per my contract I was required to receive a 8x8 photo book. During the process of creating this book with AMV no one was responding to my emails (apparently they were going to junk, which is weird because it was fine before the wedding?!) and no one was answering my voicemails. At one point 11 weeks had passed without any contact from AMV which is when I decided to show up to their office to demand answers. Finally after 11 months I just received my photbook a few weeks ago.

Overall, I would highly recommend AMV for videography! However, I am sad to say that I am regretful to have booked them for my photography. They are capable of doing amazing work, it just depends on which photgrapher gets assigned to your wedding. The quality of the photos, the lack of photos, not to mention the hassle of chasing them for 11 months to get my photo album was not worth the hassle.

We met AMV Weddings at a bridal show in Niagara and I'm so happy we chose them for our wedding photography and videography. We got the photos back in 6 weeks and they turned out amazing! They knew the right angles and captured timeless photos. They even captured candid moments of our guests, moments that I missed and now I get to cherish for many years to come.
There staff was professional and entertaining. We loved Mike and his crew and felt so lucky to have them at our wedding!

My husband and I used AMV for our videography and our DJ services for our wedding this past March and we were SO HAPPY!!!!! From the first meeting to the last, Jay was very helpful and attentive to all our requests.

We had a same day edit, a cinematic video and a highlight video…..ALL AMAZING!!! Since receiving our cinematic video a few days ago I have watched it so many times! The memories captured were phenomenal!!! There were a few things I wanted changed from our same day edit and AMV was happy to accommodate!!! Would highly recommend their videography!!!!

Juan was our DJ and he was AWESOME!!!!!!! He used the songs we requested and also was very aware of the songs we did not want played. Everyone was up and dancing the night away! Our entrances were also so hype!! Thank you Juan!

All in all, we would highly recommend AMV for video and DJ!
