We have been with AB North around 4 years now and no major problems. It has gone down no more than ten times in those 4 years and within 20 mins during the day and 1 hour during the night of phoning and leaving a message it is back up or on the phone with me figuring it out. I will never switch internet providers and I hope more people have the same experience we get watching YouTube and gaming with no lag. Ty so much for your service. Again had a problem and fixed. Ty.

If I could give a zero I would. We have had nothing but problems for two years. Our internet has cut in and out because one of the cables has something wrong with it. I called in October, November, december, then in the new year. Always told someone would come and fix it....still waiting. Had no connection for a whole weekend. There is no one to help on a weekend and if a supervisor is away then you are screwed. The workers are nice but information seems to not get passed along. I would avoid them unless you live directly in Grimshaw.

Phoned a TON of times, never pick up most of the time. I pay $80 for the fastest speed they offer and during peak hours I'm lucky to get 1Mbps. Can't watch YouTube or play video games on that. If you have to go with them I suggest getting the slowest plan available as they can't offer anything fast from 9-5 and save yourself a bunch of money!!!

Can't go negative in the stars, so I'll say that ABNorth is the worst internet provider there is. It would be much better to go with Dial-up. stay away from them unless you want to waste large amounts of money. They refuse to answer there phone and if they do, they're irritated about having me call them about a "little problem". Last time I called them about a "little problem", they put me on hold for almost an hour and hung up on me for saying that my internet was down.

Possibly one of the worst internet suppliers in Alberta. When problems occur, which they frequently do, it can take days to resolve. When they say that will call you back they rarely do. You are never able to speak with anyone who has any authority as they like to avoid the complaining customers and leave it to their minions to take all the flak.

Had an appointment for the 2nd, both installers called in sick. Was told an installer would be at my house the next day between 8 and 9 am. 9:30 rolls around and he pulls up. Doesn't give us his name, tells me he's there to deal with the internet. Then proceeds to sit in his truck for over and hour before coming in to say his machine wasnt working. Said hed come back in the afternoon. Rolled up around 1130, checked to make sure it was still good to go. And reparked his truck, tossed the shaw direct guys ladder into the snow bank. He gave us no details on what was happening or how he was proceeding, just lifted himself on to the roof. Came in after we called the office, concerned about where the hole was going to be drilled, and offered to let my husband use the companies drill to drill it himself. After his drill didnt work he asked my husband for tools. He stood around outside for almost an hour hmming and hawing at how to drill. Finally deciding to call the office. He had to be guided out of our driveway as he almost hit my husbands truck upon parking. When he came back with the drill he went right to work. Within an hour had the internet running to his computer, but didnt know how to set up the router. He left a cord dangling out the front of the house, wires and connectors all over the floor, didn't run a speed test, and when i rolled up the extra 10ft of cord to give to him, he wouldnt take it. In total this process took just over 5 hours, and he had the gull to sit in my livingroom and complain about uis difficult day while on the phone.

Definitely not a good taste left in my mouth at all.

However, office staff seems to be trying to repair the ill taste.

Have been a customer since they bought Chinchaga telecom. Have always had very good service. If no one answers after hours, get call backs pretty quickly. Since upgrading their equipment, we have had very few outages.

Very slow internet. We pay for 5Mbps and are lucky to get 1Mbps. Almost unusable. I phone and complain multiple times and it seems like they don't even care.
