I just got in from an initial consultation with Cassandra. What a positive experience. I am older and have used many lawyers throughout my life, but I never thought I would use the word “positive” in conjunction with the word “lawyer.” But that is exactly what my meeting was. At this stage in my life I decided to go back to my maiden name. I contacted three lawyers asking if I needed to change any of my legal documents- will, power of attorney, etc. Two were eager, if not excited, to draw up new ones for me. But online searches suggested I just needed to get a statutory declaration. When I went to see Cassandra today she said she could draw one up for me, but why go to the expensive when it was not needed. I have a birth certificate and a clear paper trail of my name changes through marriage, showing I am one and the same person. I was slightly in shock when I thanked her for her expertise and advice. Here was an opportunity for her to make some money, but she chose to be honourable. A personable lawyer who cares. Who would have thought. I know where I will be going the next time I need a lawyer.

When our son passed away in November 2023, Cassie was absolutely amazing. She is very knowledgeable, and the whole process went smoothly. She was so compassionate with us. He was our only child, and only 35 years old. Needless to say, we were devastated when Addison’s Disease took him way too soon. The less that we had to deal with, the better. Cassie and her staff stepped in and did so much for us at a time when we really needed them.
