I like the vibe here, everyone is friendly and of course I can learn new painting techniques under the amazing guidance from Dene. It is a small business as it is two layer cultural and aesthetic place. And also it is a big family, u can communicate with other art students, diving into the world of arts. A piece of coockie, a cup of coffee ... Dene makes the whole art things as a very tangible and easy thing. And yeah, the workshops are helpful and awesome too.

Highly recommended to people who wants to thrive in the arts.

The Dene Croft painting studio has been such a great find for me. I am a hobby painter who was looking to level up my skills. This has been the perfect place to start learning to paint in oils. Dene has custom lesson projects that he teaches through demonstration and it is so cool to watch him make art before your eyes. And then trying to replicate the lesson a few minutes later is so helpful to cement the learning. After giving a student time to practice the lesson, he comes back to consult and gives more pointers to continue to elevate the piece. Watching everything from mixing the paint, holding the brush, and speaking the nuances of value tone and perspective has taught me things I feel I could only really understand in person. I have learned so much in my first four classes! Looking forward to more. Dene is a talented and prolific painter and teacher. His impressive works line the studio and provide lots of inspiration while the overall setting is friendly, peaceful and focused. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Dene as an art mentor and instructor.

I got my introduction to oil painting at his studio a number of years ago and found the process really accessible despite my lack of experience. I returned after a few years off and found the studio to be just as welcoming and the environment to be super constructive as I tackled some master copies in oil. The other painters are very friendly and the community Dene has built is unmatched in its warmth and creative support.

It's really nice to find a place like this to paint and I appreciate having someone so talented and experienced to ask questions of.
