I went into this store last year to get my a hardware problem with my laptop screen diagnosed. Without asking or informing me, MEADIAsolutions installed monitoring software.

The software runs in the background and shows up in the menu bar, like a system app. It seems to send reports back to them so they can email me and suggest a visit whenever my laptop needs an update or flags an issue - completely unrelated to the original problem.

I never consented to this and try as I might, I absolutely can’t remove it. I followed some uninstall instructions I found on their website (they don’t work) searched everywhere online, dug through my settings, and emailed them multiple times with no response.

It’s my laptop, not theirs. Totally out of line.

Went to MEADIAsolutions with a totally screwed up phone that Bell technical support had no idea how to fix. Trevor had my phone working again in a couple hours AND saved me a ton of money with Bell by getting my phone plan switched. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Just wow. Thank you Trevor! I had ordered a new computer and it arrived at the perfect moment (my last computer decided it was retiring), and Trevor stayed at the store personally transferring all my data onto my new computer until many hours after closing. Trevor is an incredibly kind, patient, and empathetic person who goes above and beyond to solve problems. While I’m the shop dealing with an iCloud issue, I watched him help several other people with a range of challenging problems who were all what I might term user-error problems. Trevor doesn’t lose patience (though he does ask for freedom from distraction from time to time) or talk down to people.
There are two sides to tech support and it’s incredibly rare to find a technician who can handle the human side as well as the technical side. Trevor is that rare technician. In a strange way I almost wish that my tech problem was more involved so that I could stay longer in this shop and witness these interactions. If you have a tech problem - Apple related, anyway - in the Yukon, I don’t think you’ll regret coming here for help.
