I just want to say.. it was so great to be back at the studio to work with Morgan on my audition today! It was my second time back, and Morgan made me feel really comfortable and provided me feedback as a coach on my takes. I appreciate his input and was really happy with what we came up with at the end of the session. For those who are looking for self-tape coaching, or simply looking for a space to do a self-tape (we know how small our apartments can be here in Toronto), I'd strongly recommend trying out the studio and working with Morgan and his team. I felt completely transformed after taking the Mastering Genres: Masterclass with Morgan David Jones, Louise Lambert, and Jesse Griffiths. I started the class disliking the Hallmark genre, but by the end, I had a whole new appreciation for it. Turns out, my dislike stemmed from not understanding the nuances of the genre. This masterclass truly shifted my perspective and gave me the tools to tackle a variety of genres with confidence.

Highly recommend to any actor looking to expand their skills and get out of their comfort zone!

I cannot recommend this place enough. I had a last minute audition and didn’t have time to find a good place for my set up. I needed one that was ready for me. Plus, it was my first time doing a non verbal audition and I really needed a coach but the two I rely on the most were both busy! But one of those people told me about The Self Tape Studio!!! I feel as though “grateful” is too small of a word to describe how I truly feel about the self tape studio and Morgan’s support throughout our coaching session. He was strategic in the planning of my self tape and I don’t know what I would have done without him! Above all, this place as a really amazing concept: it’s a fully loaded audition studio that is ready for you whenever you are. The best part about it is that you customize your session to best fit your exact needs. You can literally choose which kind of background you want in your studio, if you’d like a coach or if you only need a reader! Or you could bring your own camera and a friend to have a complete self serve movie studio! The studio is equipped with time slots at all hours of the day and multiple coaches and readers at your disposal. Auditioning made quick and easy has never been so readily available until now!! We are so lucky to have this gem in our city!

Morgan gave such great feedback to help me elevate my tape, but did so in a way that felt very collaborative and encouraging. The studio space is perfectly set up, and the prices are very competitive. So helpful to have him edit the tape for me as well - and it looked extremely professional. Such a great experience and space. I did one of there genre masterclass workshops and it was very helpful. The workshop was organized and filled with different sections. He brought in some guests that focused on specific genres and I learned a lot. Morgan is so kind, supportive and gives constructive feedback. Would definitely recommend.

Morgan is amazing to work with! He's incredibly safe, knowledgable, patient and professional with the process and gave insightful thoughts and directions. It can be nerve-wracking to film self-tapes outside of your home and with a "stranger" but the moment you meet him, you'll feel at ease and trust you are in good hands. He's a fantastic reader and really engages with the material. I even received my fully-edited tape within the hour of finishing!

The studio is quiet, clean and very high quality. Location is super accessible through all forms of transportation.

I highly recommend this studio for any self tapes big or small and very excited to be working with Morgan again.
