The Burns Lake visitor centre is lovely. It showcases local artisans, beautiful taxidermies, and a wide selection of brochures on BC. Erin and Frank answered any and all questions I had. Their in-depth knowledge of the town really echoes the "ask a local" tagline and inspires you to carve your own path through the village and surrounding area. I will definitely be back next year.

This visitor center is a delight. You should stop here even if you need nothing. Just make up some questions. We had a hard night camping with mosquitos waiting in the wings and this visitor center really turned things around for us. Not one but three truly kind and well informed employees attended to us with all the care in the world and even filled our water bottles. 10/10 would frequent this establishment on our return trip. Next door there is a tiny small adorable museum. Didn’t get a chance to visit but you should.

This is the best place in Burns Lake to use the restroom. You can use without purchase and it is right off the highway without being busy.

There will be farmers market in july. They have free fishing rods to lend. Ask directions for free camping. Lots of info available regarding trails and activities.
