Super friendly staff, easy approach, Large/ wide docks, clean bathrooms, kitchen and living area in clubhouse. Bikes to use for boaters, new showers. Great Marina!

We were traveling through Ontario on a trip to see all 5 of the great lakes. This was the spot that we were sent in order to get close to the lake, and it worked out fairly well. It would be easier if there was a clearly marked area for the public to get to the lakeside, but I understand not wanting to have a spot that makes it easier for people to get to the water if not in a boat. It is a truly beautiful location, though, and you should be very proud of the area.

The staff friendly and accommodating but most of all when I tell you I have easily travelled 6500 nm in the last year and a half I have never seen better shower and washrooms. Spotless (eat off the floor spotless) and the multifunctional showers are the absolute most welcoming shower I’ve taken since perhaps staying in a high end hotel. Courtesy bicycles are and added touch though everything available here by walking. Grocery store, LCBO, hardware store, dollar store and other specialty shops. Thank you Thessalon Marina for the comforts that we often miss while living aboard.

We were on Cockburn Island and seen the P.S. POP CAN then we were driving to Pancake Bay Provincial Park on Lake Superior and stopped at the Marina in Thessalon off hwy 17, we seen the P.S. POP CAN again just a few day later, so cool.

The town must have limited the budget for this marina. This was the second time I returned to this harbor in as many years. The clubhouse was immaculate on my 1st visit. Clean shower floors, etc. The 2019 visit was different. Shower floors not scrubbed clean. Had to tell one of the harbormaster kids that the garbage can up in the clubhouse kitchen was stinking the place up. They didn’t have a clue. Both years the finger docks were black with a type of black mold or algae. Every time docks got wet you tracked the mess onto your boat. Needs power-washing. The town needs to hire people who take a little pride in their work.

Clean rest rooms, pay phone to call customs. Great grocery and hardware store. Carolyn Beach restaurant a bit of a walk but very good. Docks old but floaters and fuctional. Friendly staff.
