We had a great lunch today even with the power outage lol great to speak with the owner and waitress. Had the daily special of clam chowder soup and a turkey dinner poutine!! Really great food. My wife had the chickpea fritters and she really liked that too. Looking forward to going again as soon as we come back up!

This shop has so many unique vintage, upcycled, and new home decor items that you're bound to walk out with a treasure you'll love.

Inside, the shop looks straight out of House & Home mag and is incredibly affordable and pleasant.

Will be back for sure, whether it's to get something new and unique for the house or to take one of the fun courses!

What a charming and inviting space! Cute items to purchase on display scattered throughout the dining room, with only a few tables for dining inside but enough to make it feel cozy. I had the most delicious falafel dish. Very friendly staff and a wonderful place to stop by and have a bite.

If you have furniture that requires some care and love, ❤️ Jennifer is the person!! She took a very old and tired dining table and lovingly gave it a new life!! She completely took my vision and made it a reality! I am beyond pleased and will use Jennifer’s services again !! If I could give her more than a five star rating , I truly would ! Thank you so much Jennifer and we will talk again soon !!

Nice relaxed atmosphere, a really lovely attentive server, but a painfully slow kitchen. Don't come if you are in a hurry. The hummous is really nice, the pasta was on the dry side but still reasonably tasty. Good reviews by others at the table on the salad and veggie burger. The outside setting is really very nice and there are outdoor heaters available if it gets chilly.

Update: - I did go back, this time the kitchen was super speedy, the wait-staff continued to be great, had a lovely wine and wonderful chick pea fritter (aka falafel) salad bowl. The setting was really great (I ate outside this time). I was really delighted that the kitchen staffing was sorted. I will definitely be back !! Changing my rating!

A fantastic find just outside of Markville, Ontario. Sat outside and enjoyed a club sandwich. Sounds of the waterfall on the property made for a relaxing lunch break.

We had dinner at The Barrhead tonight, and were hosted by the new owners. We sat outside and the staff was so lovely for accommodating us on such a busy night for them. The service was friendly and warm. We had a schnitzel dinner and an order of the fish and chip special. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious! Highly recommend it and we'll definitely be back again.
