For a little liquor store in the heart of little fly-over Preeceville, the selection here is bonkers. The wine selection is slightly limited compared to your modern city liquor store; However, as far as hard alcohol, coolers and all sorts of other beverages from all over the world, this place may have the most selection of any liquor store in any 1000 population town in Sask.

When hubby and I first visited Thirsty Dogz we were pleasantly surprised it was more than just a small town liquor store. They also carry groceries. Adding to the charm of the place is the reasonable prices and friendlier hours. We live in Buchanan and while we support its local grocery store, if we need something on a Sunday or holiday, we can access Thirsty Dogz. We also like some of their groceries better than what other local (and Yorkton) grocery stores offer.

Thirsty Dogz Liquor is a hidden gem of the town! Store manager Garth brings in a great selection of craft beers and local spirits combined with classic fan favourites. There is a wide selection of options for everyone, including Smooth 42 vodka and liqueur options! Staff are friendly and inviting, making sure you leave with everything you needed. If you haven’t yet, be sure to check them out, you won’t regret it.
