We contracted Dawn's company to review, evaluate and make changes to our website. She was eager and responsive and all to proud to announce the awards and achievement's her company had been granted. After having reviewed our website we were quoted a cost to which we agree'd to and paid a standard deposit. Not long after which we started being upsold on additional work as Dawn's designers were telling her needed to be done with additional costs. As we were up front from the beginning that we had a budget to work within and were assured that after having reviewed our site there were be no overruns. Several months later Dawn got back to us requesting the remainder of the payment and that the site was nearly completed, which we than paid.
When we started to question that there our site had not had the changes we were quoted we were told that we should our site was lacking a theme and we should go back to the designers who had initially developed our site and demand one be added, to which we asked if she could do the work. An additional cost equal to what we had just paid is what was required.
We refused the additional costs as we had a budget to work within and would have needed to known this underlying issue at the time our site was being evaluated as we had given them full access to our site to conduct a review to quote accurately.
That's when we were ghosted by Dawn and have not yet been able to get any answers and still have our site which has not yet had the changes we were quoted and which were paid for. We even requested that our site be returned to its original state if they could not complete the work we had requested and be refunded, and again not even dignified with a response.
I suspect that Dawn will have some fancy response to our google review and a way to make her look like the victim, but I can tell you we sure feel like we have been deceived. Even after having done our due diligents and checking her credentials and reading all of the positive past google reviews it just leaves a bad taste even having put great effort in trying to find a reputable designer.
We have since found another local company to make the changes that Navigator was suppose to and are having them review the work that was accomplished to the site versus what was quoted on. After which we will be contacting legal representation for consultation of our options for recourse as we have full E-mail correspondence and an invoice with a list of work to support the cost.
If anyone would like our honest opinion and our view please do not hesitate to reach out, we are not interested in slandering anyone but might be able to offer some advise for future customers of our experience and help someone avoid the issues we are having.
