We rented speakers and a microphone from advantage audio visual for our wedding. The rain delayed our set up and trial of the audio equipment and we ran into issues with our own Bluetooth adapter. We called the after hours emergency line for advice and was given a solution immediately. They even brought out an additional piece of equipment to fix our own problems the day of our event and gave a great tutorial of how everything worked. They saved our day, literally! I can’t recommend advantage audio visual enough.

We used Advantage AV for a celebration of life event at the OCEC and the whole experience was great. Jessica, Phil, Dave and Jeff went well above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we got what we needed and the AV worked perfectly on the day of the event. I would highly recommend them.

Don't ever use these people. The Ottawa conference center pretty well forced me to use them. The quote was high to start with, but the service was horrible. The audio kept breaking up from the stage to their sound booth at the back of the room. They made some excuse that it was happening because of all the RCMP radios across the street, not knowing that I serve with the RCMP years before and knew first hand that the RCMP buildings were vacant for years and there were no radios there.

Also I was the MC of a major event with Kevin O'Leary from Shark Tank and Michele Romanow from Dragon's Den. A super basic part of AV support is that the sound board guy should be constantly watching the stage for when I an on stage and leave to make sure that he mutes my mike. There were no less than 10 times that I was standing on stage where I was waving my arms and yelling to get them to turn on my mike in front of 300 people. Further, several times attendees complained that they could hear me in conversations when I was off stage!! Talk about embarrassing.

When I brought all of this to the owner Jeff's attention, he said it was all my fault that we were the problem. Fascinating. Not sure how we caused their mikes to blank out and how I could have turned my own mike on and off from stage.

I have 18 hours of videos to prove these statements if need be.

There are lots of great reputable AV companies in Ottawa. Do not use these guys. AV is way too important to a large event to take the chance.
