We went for a mini back and white portrait session with both my girls. Mikayla was so warm, funny and got right on my kids’ level cracking all sorts of age appropriate jokes. I cannot recommened Mikayla and Nathaniel from Gold House Studios enough! Not only are they so incredibly talented, they are amazing to work with and so much fun! They shot both our engagement session and New Year's Eve wedding. Our engagement photos turned out beautifully and I knew once I saw those photos that we were in good hands for our wedding. For our NYE wedding, we booked them longer so they could stay right till the midnight countdown. Let me tell you, it was so worth it and I am so glad they were with us for that long. We got sneak peaks the next day which was absolutely amazing. It's so fun to see photos from your wedding so soon after! Can't wait to see the rest of them!

We first met Mikayla when she (and Nathaniel) photographed our friends wedding. They were so much fun to work with and most importantly took amazing photos. We have since had Mikayla photograph our Christmas photos as well as a newborn shoot for our daughter. My partner and I have nothing but amazing things to say about Gold House Studios! We were especially nervous before we had our engagement photos taken in summer 2020 because it was our first time having professional photos done. Mikayla was extremely patient and wonderful helping us prepare our outfits, pick the location, and settle our nerves leading up to the day. We usually feel like goofy and awkward people, but the photos turned out so beautiful and flattering and we were surprised at how much FUN we had. The experience was amazing and relaxed, and she made us feel super comfortable throughout the entire process. We LOVED how the photos turned out so much that since we have done three additional sessions for different occasions (holiday card, elopement, etc.).

When we first met Mikayla, she said you should enjoy the company of the person you choose as your wedding photographer because they spend the majority of your big day with you. Needless to say, her and Nathaniel feel like lifelong friends and choosing them for our photo needs might be the easiest decision we made throughout our wedding planning process. We can't wait to have them shoot our wedding this November!
