I will unfortunately need to agree with many of the other reviews left .... the lady working the counter seems as though she hates children. She didn't speak a word to us when we walked in the door but instead looked annoyed we were bringing children into what appeared to be a children's store. My children were so excited to buy a souviner from Nelson and my 7 year old daughter thought she had finally decided on a small wooden box, the lady behind the counter came and took it from my daughter's hands so she "wouldn't loose it" it was very rude. We left the store immediately without making any purchases . My advice would be to get someone who is kind, friendly and likes children to run the store.

Cute little shop with tons of trinkets. Every time I come to Nelson, I buy a mouse..lol!.. I have several now. Anyway, there are lots of little treasures and gifts. Check it out . It's a cute little shop in the heart of Nelson

Great little store full of unique treasures. train table in back and lots of unique toys and crafting sets. word of warning steer littles towards back as front has all the very beautiful yet breakable adult things, and its squishy for strollers (not a critisism just warning parents if you have a double might want to park out front) lady working at front, owner perhaps? always friendly & happy to leave kids to play at train table in back.

A fun shop to browse in downtown Nelson, BC.😊

Lots of pretty gift items, greeting cards, toys, party items, wrapping paper...some very nostalgic and fun.

I have bought many cards and small gifts here, over the years.

One star off as it would be nice to see some local craft items added to the mix. This seemed to be lacking, based on any items I looked at.

The lady working here is extremely surly and doesn't come across as liking children very much, for someone who works (owns?) a shop filled with kids' stuff. Space is quite crammed, and a mix of nice books and toys, and cheaper quality stuff, all a little over priced. Unfortunately the first shop in Nelson we entered and left a bad impression.

I’ve shopped here many times. So I was rudely surprised today when I went into the store to return a journal that had a broken binding as soon as it was opened. The owner refused to refund or exchange it saying “it wasn’t broken when it left here”. “She could have dropped it!” she said of my daughter who was standing right next to me. Last time we’ll shop there.

Wonderful store full of unique gifts and beautiful items many locally made. The store was nice to take time to explore and discover all that it has to offer. Well worth the visit and time. The shop owner was kind, polite and friendly.
