Laketown Ranch is an entire vibe. There's nothing else like it around. For its size its one of the more affordable wedding venues around and can accommodate hundreds of guests if you wish. It has all the amenities for a laid back wedding celebration and lots of rain cover options so that couples are prepared for diverse weather. These weddings are always so much fun to capture. The ranch is awesome! I go every year for both Laketown Shakedown and Sunfest and the facilities are great! Seriously, you won’t see cleaner washrooms at a festival. The grounds are also nice and close to Lake Cowichan. You can also host your own events at the grounds which is super awesome!

Best venue on the island! Hands down
This place has it going on and brings you top notch shows monthly. The staff are great and the grounds are clean. The sound is absolutely amazing for concerts. It is a pure pleasure photographing at this venue.

Been to many venues here, dazzled by every one, real flush toilets, great acoustics, plenty of room to roam. Will keep coming back!

VIP was poorly thought out by whoever did it and not worth the money. Buffet food was great, but it you want to sit and enjoy the concert as a VIP you have to go to the other side of the Pit area for the VIP seating. Then every time you want to use the VIP washrooms or Get the free drinks you have to go all the way through the Pit to get to the VIP lounge. If you only plan on using the VIP pit area and not the seating area then it is worth the money. But for those of us that don't want to stand for 6 hours having the VIP seating on the same side of the pit as the lounge would have made the event worth staying. As it is we just gave up our other nights and called it a learning experience.

Went there for laketown shakedown, its was super amazing and so much fun ,since and bunch of the staff were volunteers the didnt have alot of knowledge on things but the music and food and camping was great

Exactly the kind of permanent structure outdoor concert area Vancouver Island needed.

The layout is great, there's access to showers and flushable toilets and the views are stunning, especially when there's an amazing sunset.

I would highly recommend this venue to anyone thinking of holding a festival/concert.
