I was on the hunt for a hairstylist for our wedding this past June when I came across Inspirado Designs on the internet. After perusing the website and creeping her Facebook and Instagram, I decided to send Kris a message and see what she was all about. Kris is just about the friendliest person you’ll ever meet. I was sold on her energy and personality right away. We live in Calgary, 8 hours away, and I’m the most indecisive picky person when it comes to allowing people to do anything to my hair. I was nervous about not ending up with something I liked. We booked a trial for April, the last time we were out in Kelowna before the big day. A week or so out from the trial, I actually contacted Kris to see if it was possible to also get a haircut at the same time. Who better to cut my hair before the wedding than the person doing my hair at the wedding! She was so accommodating and was able to book in a haircut for me at the same time on short notice. When I met her in her studio, it was like we were old friends. We hit it off immediately and along with that amazing personality was a skill I’ve never found before. She cut my hair. Perfectly. I didn’t even know how to tell her what I wanted, but she figured it out and gave me THE BEST CUT I’VE EVER HAD. She then proceeded to do an outstanding job showing me a few possibilities for my wedding day hair after I showed her a few things that I was interested in. On the day of our wedding, she was fantastic and did SUCH a wonderful job, all the while being her bubbly awesome self! She is so thoughtful and sweet and talented! I LOVED my hair. My cousin took a photo of us at our ceremony, threw it up on Instagram and used #hairgamestrong. I wholeheartedly agree. Kris is an amazing person and an incredibly talented stylist, and I’m so thankful to have had such a wonderful experience and someone I can call a new friend! Thank you, Kris!

Working in a difficult medium, this sculptress of hair somehow manages to create works of art that leaves jaws dropped. I know Kris' work from the many brides I have photographed. If I wasn't present during the creation, I am almost certain I would recognize the styling. Kris doesn't need to sign her work. Her work is her signature.
