A must visit! Something for everyone. I love this place full of local artists work 💜 Bowen Island is magic and I could spend forever in here. I don't recall the shopkeepers name (sorry) but she was so knowledgeable and kind. I bought a beautiful print of a map of Bowen Island. She then told me all about the original, how it was made, how big it was. I am in awe.

Normally, I would have liked to give such a beautiful, well curated establishment five stars. Let me start off with the positive then I will recount last time’s visit. Whenever I end up in this store, it is always such a delight to be selecting pieces for my family, friends and colleagues to bring back to Vancouver. I usually spend about $100-150 every time I come here. Sometimes, I also need to use their washroom and the ladies at the front desk are very gracious.

On this most recent occasion, I entered the store about to pick out a few pieces. The lady at the front of the store, however, was very unfriendly. I asked if I could use the washroom (like I normally do) and she flat out said “It’s not a public washroom.” So much for my intention to buy something. Businesses have to be careful how they treat customers - I would say this business lost out on about a $100-$150 purchase as I immediately lost interest based on how I was treated. I thought I would share this so that they are now aware.

Bowen Island is a magical treasure, just 20 minutes ferry ride from Vancouvers. This beautifully presented gallery is equally charming as is befitting to it’s natural surroundings. The owners have acquired with a large variety of quality artwork and the staff is knowledgeable and inviting. Definitely worth the trip from the mainland, check out Catching Stars, you won’t be disappointed!

If you have artworks that need framing this is the place to go. Marie does a sterling job and offers the good stuff like UV preservation glass and archival matt boards. On the same premises the Catching Stars gallery is a treasure trove of interesting works by local artists, really recommend dropping by if you are visiting Bowen Island.

Unique, fresh, and original art with a bright and welcoming atmosphere. A great place to shop for Art gifts or for yourself. Really one of a kind, and worth the ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay.
