I can’t say enough about this place. They always have the best selection for yourself or a gift for that special someone. The staff is always so nice and helpful. Thank you to the owner 🩷 for always welcoming me and helping me out. You are so so kind. If you haven’t tried it yet you have to purchase the Tyler Candle detergent DIVA. Your clothes will smell amazing for a long time. I will apologize now as it is addicting 😂

I just wanted to pop in and say, what a wonderful experience I had, I tried to order something from the online shop, and there was technical issue with the shipping costs, so I just phoned and inquired about it, the lady (I'm so sorry I don't remember who I was talking with,but you are wonderful) dropped what she was doing to help resolve the situation, I was able to complete my order on line with her assistance, I have recieved my beautiful purchase already, as I write this , I am just so very thankful how she went above and beyond, amazing customer service and dedication to resolving a shipping computer issue. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

This is such a spectacular shop filled with beautiful gifts and decorations and supplies for the holidays. I really appreciate the quality and selection. It reminds me of Thomas Hobbs Florist, an institution in the upscale Kerrisdale neighbourhood of Vancouver.

I would like to say that my sister and I have been to Finishing Touches many times over the years and it has always been a lovely experience! Many wonderful gifts have been purchased at Finishing Touches and each item is completely loved by the recipients, including ourselves!

This store is beautiful and it is located in the beautiful small town of Okotoks and it has that small town feel to it. The atmosphere and ambience in the store is super nice and calm and stress-free! There is so much to see and enjoy in this store and some items are one of a kind which is really cool!

The environment and shopping experience is so calming and lovely and relaxing and the management and staff are always kind and helpful and knowledgeable and super professional! My sister and I both very much enjoy going to Finishing Touches and many of our friends have also shopped at Finishing Touches and we'll continue to visit and shop at Finishing Touches!

Decided to visit downtown Okotoks for some cute boutique shopping with my 7.5 month baby and stroller. The other shops were warm and accommodating as I maneuvered my way through, often graciously opening doors for me and having friendly conversation. I was excited to go into Finishing Touches to check out the cute Christmas decor.

Well let me tell you, I had quite the opposite experience. I was quickly approached as soon as I entered and firmly told by one of the workers that I couldn’t come into the store with my stroller and that they used to have a place to park it but don’t anymore. Apparently their aisles are too crowded and I couldn’t physically get around. With plenty of shopping bags in the undercarriage of the stroller, a diaper bag, a purse and a 20 lb+ baby, I didn’t have a choice but to bring the stroller.

I asked the worker about if they allow people with wheelchairs into their store (because my stroller is certainly less wide than a wheelchair) and she shrugged her shoulders and said “we do our best” and informed me that I can shop online. I returned to my vehicle parked down the street, put the stroller and bags away and carried my baby into the store.

While the items in the store are lovely and charming, I can say that the customer service is anything but with signs plastered on the door saying “no food and drink” and “no taking pictures of items”. Not a friendly, welcoming or accessible environment to say the least. I understand wanting to protect your business and inventory but this place is over the top.

My own opinion is that the prices are pretty outrageous as well, unless you’re looking to really splurge on some home decor. For myself, my money is better spent elsewhere where myself and my baby are welcomed.

Yes, Finishing Touches, you can certainly do better.
